The gun industry is using 9/11? Ugh.

Just for ONCE in my life, I'd like to see the media report both sides of the fence.

Why haven't I seen any articles regarding how the anti-self-defense crowd (a.k.a. gun grabbers) have been using 9/11 since the week after it happened. What about the VPC's use of the attack to promote their anti-gun agenda? see: http://www.vpc.org/studies/roofcont.htm They shamelessly attempt to tie in Osama bin Laden with the purchase of 25 .50 cal rifles from the U.S.. What they conveniently leave out; Those rifles were part of a military arms sale by the U.S. to the people of Afghanistan while defending themselves against the invading Russians.

The McCain bill to close the "gunshow loophole". First it was felons getting their guns from shows, after 9/11 it's the terrorists getting guns from shows. Well which is it John? Nobody in the mass media has bothered to mention, the "loophole" is just a private sale. It could happen at your home, the local gun shop, a swap meet, a flea market, and yes, even a gun show.

So let's see, when the media can make a buck and get all the people too scared to defend themselves into a frenzy it's the truth and should be reported because you are "concerned journalists". But when it comes to our personal freedoms, the truth is buried, twisted and shredded because we shouldn't allow the lawful people of the U.S. own firearms...that would be baaaaaad.

Stop twisting the truth. Report objectively, consistently and most important, in an unbiased fashion.
