Subject: Homeland Security?
Mr. Ridge would get a copy of this,
too, but I can't find an email address for him yet.
Today, Tom Ridge said:
"
everyone in the homeland must play
a part".
"
while the effort will begin here,
it will require the involvement of America at every level." the job "calls
for a national effort. We've seen it before, whether it was building the Trans-Continental
Railroad, fighting World War II, or putting a man on the moon."
So, when is the general schedule
going to be opened up so Real American Men can buy M-16s? Oh, that's right,
we can't be trusted with effective weaponry. What about 5.56mm ammunition in
case lots at GSA schedule prices to go with the emasculated versions of these
rifles we CAN buy? Just make sure there's flash retardant in the powder since
muzzle brake, good, flash suppressor, bad - and I'm sure A.G. Ashcroft will
have no problem trying to put Real American Men in Leavenworth for 10 years
because the shape of the piece of steel on the end of their rifles isn't quite
right. Or the barrel might, GASP, be threaded, just like the one's you're sending
our teenagers to the Middle East with. Will you ever learn?
Perhaps you in the U.S. government
will get it through your thick skulls that a well-armed populace is "NECESSARY
TO THE SECURITY OF A FREE STATE" and remove the unlawful prohibitions on
firearm purchases.
Oh, Mr. President, how about removing
that asinine ban on "new" machine guns your father enacted.
I am all for increasing homeland security. Let's start with the Real American
Men, aka the militia.
Sincerely,
--

It's funny how a SEMI-automatic
rifle in the hands of a Real American Man is called an "Assault Weapon"
while the FULLY-automatic rifle in the hands of a soldier is called a "rifle."
