Ted, I see you are a physician.
I'd like to see a "may-issue" licensing system to doctors. It would
seem that someone with more authority should tell you who and what you can operate
on and treat.
Doesn't sound so great does it?
I live in NY. It is a "may-issue" state. Because of that, the amount
of corruption and disregard for public safety is enormous. I am a pistol permit
holder. I have 'restrictions' on my license that do not allow me to do anything
with my pistol but have it in my home and at the range.
If I were to get the restriction removed, thereby giving me a full carry permit,
I'd have to "prove" why I need it. It would seem that at this point
the police and a judge have more say over how I protect myself then I do. That
is ludicrous.
I'm tired of lawyers, doctors and the nanny crowd telling me what I should eat,
how I should speak and how I can or can't defend myself. What ever happened
to the freedom of choice in this country?
Oh yeah, a doctor told me it was "no good for me".
