METAIRIE, LOUISIANA -- The Jefferson Parish Sheriffs Office says that a man died in an early morning incident at the home of his estranged ex-roommate.
A spokesman for the department says that the woman says she heard the sound of glass breaking on her front door. She told deputies that the door to the bedroom was then kicked in. She says she fired two shots with a handgun and then fled the residence.
The home then caught fire and after the blaze was extinguished, the body of a 32-year-old Chalmette man was found in the kitchen.
So far no charges have been filed.
