It is alarming that anyone opposes common sense gun laws. People are tired of seeing children and teenagers murdered in their classrooms by AR-15s or what Space calls, lawful tools of self-defense. Young people are marching on Washington, parents are fearful sending their children off to school, the mall or the movies. All over the country, voters are supporting democratic candidates because of their stand on gun violence. Our society has proven that it is just not responsible enough or healthy enough for the guns everywhere desires of the far-right extremists. |

Armed citizens stopped a mass murderer at the West Freeway Church of Christ. When we plain folk in fly-over country heard that the attacker was stopped quickly, most of us thought, Praise God. In contrast, Joe Biden said it was irrational to allow anyone to be armed at any religious institution. Some journalists said they were terrified that ordinary citizens could be armed at church.
Why is the emotional response from politicians and journalists so different from ours? We know something that they dont know. Those of us who live in fly-over country know Armed America, and the elites dont. |

A local Methodist minister suggests you cant be a Christian and carry a gun. He appears to claim even using a firearm in self-defense isnt Christ like. Does this mean if you drop dead at the range on Saturday, youll wake up in hell on Sunday? Im reminded his denomination cheers for infanticide and ordains clergy who are openly engaged in homosexual relationships. But a woman who would shoot a rapist as he attacked her would apparently be the aggressor in the eyes of the Lord. Talk about victim shaming! |

A Virginia state senator called Second Amendment supporters "little kids" at a public meeting over the weekend as tensions between gun rights activists boil over in the state.
Sen. Dave Marsden, who supports Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, is an advocate of proposed gun control legislation and is part of the Democratic majority in the Virginia General Assembly. Instead of apologizing for the insensitive remarks, Marsden called Second Amendment supporters "mentally ill" in a letter he sent following a meeting with constituents. |

The poll asked questions about gun-ownership rights and attitudes toward socialism and market capitalism. The canvass of 1,000 likely voters by The Heartland Institute, a national free-market think tank, and Rasmussen Reports, a leading polling firm, was conducted on November 13 and 14. |
