A lawyer for the only man arrested after a deadly 2014 gunfight on New Orleans' Bourbon Street insists the man fired to protect himself and others from a still-unknown gunman.
The lawyer for 22-year-old Trung Le (Lee) told jurors Tuesday that videos will show the mystery gunman as the aggressor. Earlier the lead prosecutor insisted the videos and other evidence will prove Lee was the aggressor, firing first at the man believed to have robbed his friends of some marijuana more than an hour earlier. |

On February 10, 2015, Kenneth W. Kreyssig, 61, of Smyrna was shot and killed in Smyrna by Aroostook County Deputy Sheriff Stewart Kennedy and State Police Sergeant Chadwick Fuller.
Attorney General Janet T. Mills has concluded that at the time Deputy Kennedy and Sgt. Fuller shot Mr. Kreyssig, each of them reasonably believed that unlawful deadly force was imminently threatened against them. It was reasonable for each officer to believe it necessary to use deadly force to protect himself and each other from deadly force. |

Texas' new campus carry law doesn't take effect until August 1, but state universities are facing pressure from all sides about how to implement the law. The measure, passed by last year's Legislature, allows those with concealed carry permits to carry firearms on public college campuses. Private universities can opt out of the law, and many already have. But public universities can only establish certain "gun-free zones" on campus without making it impossible to "practically carry a gun at all." That's led to controversy over allowing guns in classrooms.

When it comes to concealed carry, it really comes down to style and weight because the size is starting to be very close between small calibers (.22, .380, etc.) and real calibers like 9mm and .40, for instance. Youll easily find something you love and something you love to carry if you nose around. Well, we tossed a sleeper in here too though! |
