Meanwhile the suspect wearing a hoodie and bright green sneakers walks up, jumps in, and then drives off with it.

The victim's badge and gun were also reportedly still inside the car. The license plate is 2LDM 44.

Macomb County could become one of the first five counties in Michigan and the first in the tri-county area to become a so-called Second Amendment sanctuary county, if the board of commissioners approves a proposal at a future meeting.

But the proposal is drawing mixed responses from residents, with some ready to pull the trigger and others a bit more tepid to the idea, worried that the plan and its proponents may be only half-cocked though even some of those folks still thought the issue was worth discussing.

"I believe you have the right to bear arms," said 58-year-old Michael Hadley of Clinton Township, who bought a gun for protection at home and because he has the right to have one under the Second Amendment.

I get asked a lot what I think the best gun is for concealed carry. Many times, this question comes while in class, but in casual online conversations the question seems to becoming more popular. The answer is simple: The gun that is the most popular. Regardless of the criterion for selecting the ideal gun for concealed carry, popularity seems to trump practicality. Of course, popularity can be subjective, but for me it is what consumers are purchasing. More and more consumers are purchasing subcompact guns ideally suited for concealed carry. The only downside to these consumer selections is the inherit difficulty in shooting them well as a result of their smaller sizes.

A handgun round isn't going to do much to halt an attack if it's not hitting something vital. The choice of what to target depends on a number of factors.
When it comes to the defensive use of a handgun, caliber is far less important than most people think. Sure, all things being equal, a .45 ACP has a better chance of stopping an assailant than a .32 ACP, but a hit with a .32 beats a miss with the .45 any day of the week.

September 1st, 2019 marked the first time that Brass Knuckles would be legal in Texas since 1918. Its an exciting development due to the near-prosecution of a young 21-year-old woman who was facing $4,000 in fines and a year in jail for a keychain. Brass knuckles are a lot like automatic knives: misunderstood and villianized. In truth, they are like any other weapon a tool, and the person wielding them decides what they do.

When cars were backed up along Chambers Creek Road, a windy, two-lane road next to a creek, one DuPont man in a pickup pulled out and began passing the line of cars in the oncoming lane. After another driver honked at him, he allegedly stopped his pickup and got out carrying a gun. The pickup driver pointed the gun at the car behind him.

That changed the whole dynamic of what was going on, Pierce County Sheriffs Department Detective Ed Troyer told KIRO Radios Dori Monson.

However, a passenger in that car also had a gun, and pulled that weapon out in apparent self-defense, according to witness reports. After a brief fight, the pickup driver was shot.

Two gun rights groups planning to host a rally of 130,000 supporters Monday at the Virginia state Capitol have sued to repeal Democratic Gov. Ralph Northams ban on guns, even for those with permits.

Governor Northam is behaving like the royal governors who long preceded him. He has arrogantly and brazenly tried to restrict the rights protected to Virginians by the First and Second Amendments, said Erich Pratt, senior vice president of Gun Owners of America.

A gun-rights group has filed an emergency appeal of a judges ruling upholding the Virginia governors ban on firearms at a pro-gun rally thats expected to draw thousands of gun activists to the state Capitol on Monday.

The Virginia Citizens Defense League and Gun Owners of America sought an injunction against the ban, but Judge Joi Taylor ruled Thursday that Gov. Ralph Northam has the authority under state law to take action related to the safety and welfare of the state. The groups lawyers then turned to the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Michigan would lift its ban on stun guns under legislation advanced by lawmakers on Tuesday.

The bill would allow the sale, possession and reasonable use of a stun device by those 18 and older. Michigan currently allows law enforcement and people with a concealed pistol license those who are at least 21 to use a Taser, which is a different type of self-defense device than a stun gun.

While the Second Amendment sanctuary movement a form of civil disobedience that is proving particularly effective has really taken off in Virginia, and it is also making huge strides in Kentucky, it is also taking off in one of the states that has historically been extremely hostile to our rights. New Jersey has seen the movement arrive as well.

As the gun debate rages on in Virginia, gun store owners in the Commonwealth say business is booming.

Business has been absolutely crazy, explained Jerry Rapp, owner of SpecDive Tactical in Alexandria. Rapp said business has increased by 200 to 300 percent since the last election, although that doesnt mean the news is all good for the gun shop owner and his customers. People are really on edge. Theyre worried about their Second Amendment rights. Theyre worried about the future of what you can and cannot have as a firearm.
