Police were told that four or five men entered Mustang Sally's Cabaret and Grill near 35th Avenue and Thomas Road about 9 p.m. Wednesday, waving guns. One of them fired a single shot, apparently to grab people's attention. I guess they got the bartenders attention alright. |

"We take the firing of firearms into the air in and around public places very seriously due to the theory of what goes up, must come down, sometimes with tragic reslults. However, I have problems with this "investigation". "

"This is obviously very good news for gun owners in New Mexico... New Mexico Gun Owners' position remains the same on concealed carry legislation: We will take a no compromise stance, and support only no compromise legislation. However, we will not campaign against the CCW legislation that requires registration as long as charges for carrying concealed without a permit do not change. As always, we support the work of all gun rights organizations and individuals here in New Mexico." |

Deroy Murdock on the best way to protect yourself against a "hate crime" (or any other violent crime): "A half-hour talk show that follows the TV movie presents numerous arguments for hate crimes legislation. But neither the film nor the discussion even hints at the obvious: If Shepard had been armed, he could have warded off his assailants. Instead, he nearly froze in an open field and died five days later of his injuries and exposure."

The Palm Beach County Commission passed an ordinance requiring gun owners to lock up their weapons when unsupervised kids are nearby or face a $500 fine. Do you agree with Palm Beach County's new trigger-lock ordinance? ~~~ What should we expect from a county where the slower half of the population doesn't even understand arrows? |

BOULDER The City Council on Tuesday unanimously approved sweeping changes to the city's gun ordinance. Many of those present opposed the proposals, saying they are unnecessary and infringe on gun owners' Constitutional right to bear arms and to have ready access to them. ~~~~~ Firearms Coalition of Colorado certainly won't be jumping up and down with glee over these infringements... |
