The weapons of the Home Guard ought to be stored in central depots.

This is the opinion of the Labour Party and the Socialist Left, following the triple murder at Geilo over the weekend, when the murderer used his Home Guard AG-3.

While the other political parties want to maintain the present system, with the members of the Home Guard storing their guns at home, Labour wants the guns stored in central depots in each community.

While animal rights groups like the SPCA have welcomed draft legislation aimed at controlling the spread of illegal weapons, hunters and recreational shooters are not completely happy with it.

Under the new Firearms Act, initiated by the departments of finance, safety and security and the police, licences are no longer needed for weapons under the 5.6mm or .22-inch calibre.

Police said civilians who make reports during the designated period will be exempt from punishment.

"From the beginning of the trip, AGS stated their agenda as wanting to close the gun show loophole, and nothing else, and after the loophole is closed AGS will no longer exist. ...[a]ll they did was alienate themselves from their stated policy positions of sensible gun ownership. It was apparent on the trip AGS clearly advocates gun registration and the eventual outlawing of all firearms."

[Tom] Steffen said the boxcar left Leland, N.C., for Savanna, OK, on Oct. 29. From there, it was supposed to go to the nearby ammunition plant. Instead, it was somehow marked as unloaded and sent Jan. 8 to the Golden Peanut plant in Comyn, Texas.

A list of "Guardian Unlimited" links to American anti-gun editorial diatribes and newslinks, which mirror and reinforce the British loathing of self protection as well as promote fear, does not ring true with it's readers as reflected by the poll located at the bottom of the page. A truly revealing (and hilarious) expose of anti-gunner elitist hypocrisy.

"Airline crews should fight hijackers with their fists and feet, assistance from passengers, and the aircraft itself -- but for now, not with guns, the Federal Aviation Administration says in new guidelines."

--This article and the FAA training material for LEO Flying Armed continue the argument that "explosive decompression" is a concern to only the gun-grabbers and the hysterical media.

"Police officials said they confiscated eight guns from men who lacked permits. But the weapons would be returned if the men came to police headquarters with letters signed by legitimate military commanders, they said."

--It should be no challenge to anyone reading here to change a few place-names and dates and see a chilling view of our future. Here is the 911 v. 1911 debate in a nut-shell. Would you give up your AK in exchange for protection from this government?

"The United States of America, despite the current president, is at the highest level of liberalism, militarism and just plain insanity.

The United State has become a police state. Regardless of the times and the circumstances, we should not have to live with violations of our liberties. We the people must not play into the hands of our enemy by means of abolishing our rights." -- TIMOTHY J. WORKMAN, Teen Columnist

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
As I have stood in the crosshairs of those who target Second Amendment freedoms, I've realized that firearms are not the only issue. No, it's much, much bigger than that. I've come to understand that a cultural war is raging across our land, in which, with Orwellian fervor, certain acceptable thoughts and speech are mandated. Charlton Heston
