"What is it about guns that causes liberals to go berserk and blame inanimate objects for human behavior? Are liberals that much more emotional and less rational than the rest of us, or have liberals made guns the scapegoat for the consequences of liberal policies that trashed our culture?" by Paul Craig Roberts |

Jones said, "...and contrary to what anyone else tells you, we're still getting illegal guns off the street." The number of illegal guns confiscated in Milwaukee fell from about 4,500 in 1996 to about 2,500 in 1999, according to statistics released last fall. "Milwaukee attorney Barbara Boxer deserves credit," Schneider said, "for raising public awareness of Ceasefire."
[Note: Don't believe it. This is pure anti-gun hype. Do you really think there were THAT MANY illegal guns in Milwaukee?] |

Dr. David Yeagley, a member of the Comanche Tribe, is horrified to see governments first register guns, then confiscate and destroy them. As an Indian, he's seen it happen before: "So why does the government keep pushing gun control? The warrior in me knows. He who takes my bow is not my friend. He who takes away my ability to defend myself is my enemy. If the government takes our guns, its not because they are trying to help us. Its because they are trying to control us." |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our Founding Fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the second amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of the country. For that reason I believe the second amendment will always be important. --JOHN F. KENNEDY |
