Amid constant leftist fearmongering about the supposedly disastrous consequences of allowing Americans to exercise their Second Amendment freedoms, new data shows that expanding rights for responsible gun owners and actually punishing gun crimes makes states safer.

According to a report from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost released in January, six of Ohios eight largest cities saw less gun crime after the states constitutional carry law took effect. In June 2022, Ohio became the 23rd state in the nation to legalize constitutional carry, or permitless carry, which allows residents to carry a concealed firearm without having to undergo a burdensome and time-consuming permitting process.

The suspect accused of shooting and killing a man in the parking lot of a Walmart won't face charges, Garner police announced Friday.

Garner police said the man who died, Colton Valdez, approached the other man and presented a BB gun, which looked like a real gun.

"After a complete review of the available evidence, we have determined that no charges are sustainable as the shooter acted in self-defense," Wake County District Attorney Lorrin Freeman said in a statement. "North Carolina law allows an individual to protect themself from the threat of imminent deadly harm.

A young man got out of the passenger side of the Honda sedan and pointed a gun with a laser on it at the 38-year-old driver of the Ford SUV, police said Friday.

The Ford driver used his driver-side door to shield himself as "he exited his vehicle and fired his weapon several times at the suspect," police said.

Melissa Joan Hart has called on lawmakers to take action on gun control reform nearly a year after she helped a class of kindergartners escape a school shooting in Nashville, Tennessee. That harrowing experience would actually be Harts second encounter with gun violence, specifically a school shooting. This week, the actress best known from shows like Sabrina The Teenage Witch and Clarissa Explains It All spoke during a Senate roundtable event and said that while she once believed you couldnt mess with the second amendment because thats a threat to Americans freedoms, she now thinks we will never live without fear if things dont change.

CRPA has joined with several other pro 2A organizations and filed a friend of the court amicus legal brief in Garland v. Cargill. The case is set for argument before the Supreme Court on February 28, 2024.

The Cargill case will decide whether a bump stock device is a machinegun as defined in 26 U.S.C. 5845(b) because it is designed and intended for use in converting a rifle into a machinegun, i.e., into a weapon that fires automatically more than one shot by a single function of the trigger.

People who are a danger to themselves or others could lose access to their firearms under a bill discussed in the New Hampshire Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday.

Twenty-two other states have adopted such red-flag laws, which allow loved ones or law enforcement to ask a court to temporarily remove firearms from people in such a crisis, according to the nonprofit Everytown For Gun Safety.

The Republican-controlled state Legislature has rejected such legislation previously.

Alaska Attorney General Treg Taylor signed onto a 28-state letter to the Biden administration, responding to another letter that had urged the administration to restrict ammunition manufacturers who receive federal funds from selling ammunition to citizens.

We Have seen this administration take full advantage of wordplay to restrict the rights of American citizens, Gov. Mike Dunleavy said in a Jan. 26 statement. Politicians, ignorant of the tools and practices they fight to restrict, use catchphrases like military grade to create the illusion that these rights are not meant for the average citizen.

DeVores case said Illinois state law states any person may arrest another when he has reasonable grounds to believe that an offense other than an ordinance violation is being committed and that Holste has been conferred the power to make arrests for offense just as any peace officer employed by a law enforcement agency.

The lawsuit further said previous cases have concluded that a private citizens arrest easily satisfies the standard of a peace officer employed by a law enforcement agency and that a private citizen has virtually the same authority to make an arrest as does a police officer.

Gun control legislation continued to make headway in the Legislature Thursday, with three key bills getting through a House committee as Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham proclaimed she remains confident the controversial measures will eventually land on her desk.

One bill would limit magazine sizes and ban some types of semiautomatic rifles; one would raise the age to legally buy or possess an automatic or semiautomatic firearm from 18 to 21; and one would impose a 14-day waiting period on gun purchases. All three advanced out of the House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee on 4-2 party-line votes and now head to House Judiciary.

Each SHOT Show brings new rifles of every type, style, and caliber, and weve seen some interesting ones over the years. Weve seen booms in ARs and tactical rifles over the years a trend that has influenced the style of hunting rifles, too. This year were noticing an excellent mix of tactical and precision-influenced rifles, but also some more traditional-style hunting rifles with wood stocks. When it comes to new rifles at SHOT Show, there are always the expected introductions. Still, some guns always manage to surprise us. With that in mind, Ive scoured the field for some of the coolest, most interesting, and, what will likely be, the most popular rifles from SHOT Show 2024.

Everywhere in The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas, it is clear that the National Shooting Sports Foundations (NSSF) SHOT Show is not a political event. The 50,000-plus attendees, including employees from just about every gun and firearm-related company there is, are here to buy and sell products for markets in the U.S. and around the world.

The SHOT Show is a trade show, not a consumer show. It is the 46th annual gathering of those in the gun business. They are here in Nevada to show off new products and to further business relationshipssome, no doubt, slip down the miles of aisles in the crowded show to see what innovations their competitors are presenting.

A few days ago, I declared that it was time for Nigeria to legalize and democratize access to firearms and ammunition so that her citizens can protect themselves from the untamed explosion of insecurity in the country. There are practical questions regarding gun legalization in Nigeria, chief among them partly related to the ostensibly volatile temperament of Nigerians and the potential for chaos to ensue once liberal gun ownership gets legal backing. Some have suggested that it would be difficult to stem the likely tide of gun violence at local viewing centers where impassioned Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC supporters might goad themselves into a gunfight.

On this weeks episode of Two Guys One Gun, the boys are in the desert of luck, coming at you live from SHOT Show 2024 in Las Vegas. While it is a long week of work, these gents wanted to take some time to highlight some of the best reveals from this years show.

Its always a trip when Alexander and Chris are in the same place, especially when they are both nerding out over guns. SHOT Show 2024 had a lot to offer, and there was a long list of exciting new things. So, how about a list of all the cool new products the boys saw?

There might be some big suppressor updates, the revival of the FNC carbine, a new military belt-fed machine gun, and more. We cant spill all the beans. Guess you will just have to listen and find out!
