"Beginning today, free gun locks are available at the Michigan State Police Post in the city. Lt. Robert Yorke said the post has 3,000 Master Lock cable locks to give away. Cable locks prevent a gun's mechanism from closing, so it can't be fired. The locks were provided with state grant money. People are asked to give identification so the post can keep track of those who have locks." |
