"With the arrival of the New Year, as many as five million
law-abiding Canadian gun owners may become
criminals, as a new national registry comes into effect."

One can hope that our neighbors to the north are doing what
we should do: peaceful noncompliance in the face of unjust laws.

You just KNOW it's gotta be bad when even the police don't know what to do with the law.

This report from CNN shows why all those politicians in California need bodyguards. Murder up 26% in LA alone.

Anti-cop or anti-abuse? Are NH State Rep. Tom Alciere's 'anti-cop' comments really so outrageous?

J.D. Tucille looks a little more closely at the controversy surrounding
Alciere's writings.

Just some food for thought.

"Carey McWilliams' eyesight is limited to the point where the only thing he can see is the difference between night and day.

But that did not stop law enforcement officials in his home county from giving him a gun permit, including privileges allowing him to carry a pistol concealed on his person."

Great! It is allways nice to see a story where "The Right Thing" has been done, instead of letting someone die. Kudos for the Sheriff's Dept. of Fargo!

People cheer when the bad guy loses.

In Virginia, people honor the law-abiding citizen above the felon.

In Virginia 100,000 citizens CCW and this story is one of many cases across the country of law-abiding citizens defending themselves on the street.

It sends a very strong message to the criminals committing crime against the public don't. Because if you do you could be pushing up flowers.

``This is a good example of schizophrenic legislation,' said Oakland
police Sgt. Gary Tolleson, who supervises the weapons unit. ``It's a
combination of formula and guesswork. And quite frankly, it's so
confusing I've gone to four separate classes and have gotten four
different opinions on what is legal and what is illegal.'

Again, even the police can't figure out the law.
Schizophrenic lawmakers? Nah. They know what they're doing.
Don't they? (snicker)
