Today, the NRA-ILA launched a new Action Center for you to stay informed and take action on legislative issues in your state and on a federal level. It is very easy to use and gives you quick access to useful information such as a summary of each legislator, their contact info, and social media links. Simply enter your address, and it will give you a list of all of your states legislators. Theres also a map that allows you to click each state to see specific issues in that state. |

At first blush, the Kimber R7 Mako might not catch your eye, but dont be fooled. Yes, it has a molded polymer frame. Yes, it is striker fired. Yes, it is a micro compact. Yes, it stuffs 9mm rounds into its double-stack magazines like a chipmunk filling its cheeks with nuts for winter. And, yes, the Kimber R7 is optics-ready, with one model shipping from the factory with a Crimson Trace CTS-1500 reflex sight. So is it just a me too pistol in an already crowded field? Thats what I suspected until I put the first round through it. I dont say this often, but Im happy to report I was wrong. |

First produced in 1930, the .22 Hornet was developed by the Springfield Armory and is to this day an excellent cartridge for hunting varmints and predators. It has even been used in the U.K. for hunting deer with great success. The cartridge has mild recoil and good accuracy, with relatively low noise levels making this a great choice for hunting vermin in more populated areas. |

Chicago Alderman Michele Smith (D-Ward 43) wants her constituents to wear whistles, which they can blow while running towards armed robbers, should they witness a crime taking place.
CWBChicago reported that Smith is bringing back the WhistleStop Program, which existed in Lincoln Park in the 1970s.

Submitter's note: It is my long held opinion that the extreme left actually wants some of its followers to die while following bad advice. As a kind of perverted martyrdom to make themselves feel justified supporting bad principles. |

When it comes to gunfighting, its been proven time and again that the side with more rounds will win. Shotguns arent known for their large capacities, meaning that those using them for defense could use some creativity. One way to fit more in the tube is to make the shells shorter, and thats exactly what Federal has done. New in their line of Personal Defense rounds, these are the Force X2 Shorty shotshells from Federal Premium.

Lyft has a strict No Weapons policy, but once again, a driver decided it was more important to carry a gun to defend himself than to follow their policy. And yesterday afternoon, he used his gun in self-defense. Around 2:45 PM yesterday, a Philadelphia Lyft driver was rear-ended by another car. Classic setup. As the Lyft driver got out of his car, two suspects from the other car also got out. One of them had a shotgun and attempted to steal the Lyft drivers car. But the Lyft driver, who had a valid Pennsylvania concealed carry permit and his carry gun, drew his gun and shot the armed robber in the chest. |

Mexicos military is allegedly working to cover up its loss of weapons purchased from other countries.
Mexicos Army (SEDENA) is losing approximately 30 percent of weapons purchased from the U.S., a report from Mexican journalist Carlos Loret De Mola revealed. The report comes as Mexicos federal government litigates against firearm manufacturers in a U.S. court, blaming them for the raging cartel violence.

When Adric White broke into and entered a Family Dollar, he drew his gun and demanded that the cashier hand over all the cash. White, 18, thought he knew what he was doing when he held the employees hostage at gunpoint. He ordered them around, acting like a big shot, making demands and feeling strong when they were carried out; however, things took a twist when a Good Samaritan with a legal concealed-carry license busted out their gun and turned the tables on the young armed robber. |

The Cherokee County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution Monday morning. This means law enforcement there can't enforce future laws the county believes violate the Second Amendment. Cherokee County is now the 31st Iowa county to do it. Many have copied their resolution nearly word for word from a template on the Iowa Firearms Coalition website.

The media have been making a big deal over a Washington Post/University of Maryland poll which finds that 34 percent of Americans believe violence can be justified against the government. Its a poll meant to feed the hysteria over the Capitol Hill riot and embarrass Republicans into supporting voting rights bills and so on. |

Kyle Rittenhouse is having talks about writing a book. "There have been initial discussions but nothing has been decided," David Hancock, a spokesman for Rittenhouse, told Newsweek. These were "mainly internal discussions." Hancock said it "will most likely be a story of a young man's very unorthodox journey into adulthood, what it took to make it, and the lessons he learned along the way. |

For much of the past forty years and more often at government expense, Phil Murphy has surrounded himself with a well-armed and trained private and public security force, first as a bigwig with Goldman Sachs, then as U.S. ambassador to Germany for Barack Obama, and now as governor of the deep-blue Garden State that narrowly elected him to a second term amidst an unforeseen red wave of discontent at the ballot box. Along the way, his dogma evolved from boardroom idealism to political progressivism, an evolution familiar to those of moneyed privilege and far removed from the trials of life on Main Street. |

The Second Amendment Foundation is wasting no time heading into 2022, airing a 60-second message on nearly 20 cable networks to warn America of a coming attack on Second Amendment rights, courtesy of the Joe Biden administration. Biden was not able to advance his anti-gun agenda in 2021, and in fact he lost important momentum when the Senate Judiciary Committee wouldnt even let his nomination of David Chipman advance to the full Senate for a vote. But with time likely to run out at the November midterms in 11 months, the president and his Democrat allies on Capitol Hill may push hard to get things done. |

There arent many guns that carry such a notable reputation as the Mossberg 500 line of pump-action shotguns. With a company lineage that dates to just after the end of World War I, Mossberg has offered many firearms over the years that have seen service on battlefields and hunting fields. But the Mossberg 500 may well be the most recognizable.
