Today is Columbus Day. It is a day to celebrate the discovery of the New World by Christoper Columbus in 1492 when he was trying to find a western passage to India, but to the far left group, Antifa today is a day of statue defacement and vandalism. They view it as a chance to stand against the white patriarchy society that spread evil to the New World. The Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement (RAM), which is part of Antifa and refers to Police as our enemies in blue, has put out a call to other Antifa groups to deface statues of Christopher Columbus as well as other acts of vandalism.

Reporters and political pundits this past week continued their long tradition of making fools of themselves when talking about guns and gun rights: the talking heads have gotten simple facts wrong about guns and gun laws, mocked gun owners, and openly advocated for gun control. During a panel on CNN's "Inside Politics," Wall Street Journal reporter Michael Bender got the Firearms Owners' Protection Act of 1986 completely wrong.

Sundays Monstercast from the Crossbreed Holster studios was packed full of information. It started right out of the gate with a wrap up of my comments at the 32nd annual Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) held in Dallas last weekend along with what we can expect from those who hate our rights, post-Vegas. I then introduced another epic lineup with Alan Gottlieb starting us off in hour one followed by Dr. John R. Lott discussing his National Review op-ed that poked the NY Times full of holes.

Anti-gun Senator Dianne Feinstein admitted to CBS Face the Nation Sunday that no gun control law could have prevented mass killer Stephen Paddock from creating the carnage in Las Vegas on Oct. 2, an admission that gun rights supporters would probably carve in stone.

It was the morning of April 11, 1986. An FBI sting operation to apprehend two armored car robbers in Miami, Florida, erupted in a gunfight, and the results were catastrophic. Despite each being shot numerous times, the two suspects continued firing on FBI agents. Their ability to stay in the fight over the following critical moments left two FBI agents dead, and five others injured.

These five great items are awesome additions to any concealed-carry kit, and they also work to keep users warm and dry while still offering easy access to your personal pistol.

Can a right specifically protected by the U.S. Bill of Rights be barred from any U.S. citizen unless they can prove to the governments satisfaction they are such a special case that they really, really need their right? That was the basis of an argument that won over two judges, but not a third, at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia in July.

Is it possible that billionaire gun-banner Michael Bloomberg has finally figured out that his plan of spending millions of his own dollars to promote further restrictions on law-abiding gun owners has been a failure at nearly every turn? We ask this question for one reason: Now Bloomberg is asking gun-ban advocates to put their money where his mouth is.

It is "ridiculous" to believe that there is nothing that can be done about gun violence in the United States, retired astronaut Mark Kelly, whose wife, former Rep. Gabby Giffords, survived a mass shooting in Arizona in 2011, said on Monday. "Thirty-three thousand Americans dying every single year from gun violence is completely unacceptable," Kelly told CNN's "New Day" program, while commenting on the deadly shootings in Las Vegas that occurred a week ago Sunday. "We're a country of laws.

There are all kinds of photos that don't belong in online-dating profiles: the shirtless selfie; the faraway shot or the artsy pic where it's hard to tell what the person looks like; the group shot where it's hard to tell whose profile it is; the photo with a child where it's hard to tell if that's a nephew or a son; or anything with sunglasses. (If you can't look me in the eye while mediated by a screen, how will you do it in person?)

YouTube has banned and removed some video tutorials that show users how to modify gunsincluding ones that provide instructions for making semiautomatic rifles fire nearly as quickly as fully automatic ones, a tactic used in the deadly mass shooting in Las Vegas last week. The company said it had taken down some tutorial videos that featured a bump stock, a legal attachment to semiautomatic rifles that makes them fire more rapidly. Stephen Paddock used a bump stock when he killed at least 58 people and injured over 500 in one of the deadliest mass shootings in modern U.S. history.

Public policy debates among politicians almost always break down along partisan lines. Politicians on both sides often feel as though the truth does not bind them. Their goal is to get the people they represent to agree with them. We expect it because politicians serve their constituents above all else.

Author Stephen King is an advocate of, in addition to multiple other liberal causes, more stringent gun-control legislation.
In response the Las Vegas mass shooting, King reasoned it would be an effective argument to conflate the shooting with a proposal by Gov. Rick Scott (R) to place a 3-day limit on opioid prescriptions.
