"I'm not involved in anything else where a gun might be needed. I've never felt the need to own one for self-defense. I've shot guns at targets or for practice once or twice, but that's about it."
"...I lived in Papua New Guinea, a Third World country that has very strict gun control laws. One expatriate was kicked out for having a pellet gun. Yeah, a pellet gun. They didn't want any guns at all. Period."
"You would think in this country that had very strict controls on who could own guns that there would be little violence, right?"
"Wrong. Their murder rate is twice that of the United States. And guess who had the guns? Sometimes not even the police because the criminals would steal them!" |

"Because I think some gun control laws make sense -- like requiring background checks to make sure gun buyers aren't felons -- some NRA supporters insist I'm anti-gun." ...
"Right. Anyone not in goose-stepping agreement with every National Rifle Association position is part of a conspiracy to take your guns away, and don't you forget it." ...
"But right now, I'm sorry to say it is a prominent group promoting gun control that is now saying and doing the inane, inflammatory things."
"The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence has people in Florida handing out what purports to be an important warning to newly arrived tourists. The literature tells the arrivals that Florida, thanks to a new 'Stand Your Ground' law, has become a far more dangerous place." ...
"This tactic is designed to create baseless fear and exploit it for political and fund-raising gain. And it is based on a fantasy that Floridians are trigger-happy jerks who, oddly enough, are also highly attuned to legal nuances. Where once the law alone held them back, now they will be opening fire willy-nilly." |

"More than 95 percent of all gun related crimes in the Rochester area are committed with illegal guns. Thats what District Attorney Mike Green told NEWS 10NBC Tuesday. So where are all these guns coming from? Police say the guns are generally stolen and come from states that have less stringent gun laws. The problem is they end up on Rochester streets and into the hands of young kids like 16-year-old Arthur McBride. McBride had a handgun on Colvin Street late Monday night and police say he fired it into the air. He was arrested and charged with criminal possession and prohibited use." |

"Why is it that when a top official is caught violating the law he is not arrested. If it would have been a regular citizen he would probably still be in jail. Now My question is if he took the CONCEALED HANDGUN course he was made aware of state and federal law that he cannot carry a concealed firearm in PROHIBITED AREAS like an airport. Did he take the course or not??? The I forgot excuse does not work in this case. He should have his license revoked." |
