When introduced in 1873 for the Colt Single Action Army, the .45 Colt was a powerhouse of a pistol cartridge. Initially, the cartridge had a 255-grain bullet propelled by a case full of 40 grains of black powder. The cartridge was undoubtedly a man-stopper and horse killer, and many troopers had difficulty controlling the recoil. After a few years, the powder charge was reduced to a more manageable 28 grains of black powder.

Gemtech has just added a brand new stainless steel and titanium .30 caliber suppressor, the new Abyss 7.62. This new suppressor is designed for hard use and stringent shooting tasks and can handle calibers from 5.7x28mm all the way to .300 Win. Mag. The proprietary GM S1 End Cap helps firearms reduce their muzzle flash, and also curbs the blowback of gasses from leftover from the rounds going downrange. This results in both added comfort for the shooter and the increased reliability of the host firearm.

Its been a couple weeks since we last talked about New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grishams (D) efforts to abuse her authority and enact a clearly unconstitutional 30-day ban on law-abiding citizens carrying a firearm for self-defense in Albuquerque and the surrounding Bernalillo County. We suggested it was little more than a PR stunt on the governors part, considering how obvious it was that she did not have the authority to do what she tried to do, the fact that she openly admitted that criminals would not be likely to obey her ordermuch as they refuse to obey any number of other laws that outlaw their actionsand the fact that there was absolutely no enforcement of the ban over the first weekend it was in place. |

Americas cherished Second Amendment rights have been increasingly tested as anti-freedom states continue to pile on laws restricting the capacities of firearm magazines. This move has been controversial and divisive, with a total of 14 states, alongside the District of Columbia, imposing their own versions of these unconstitutional mag restrictions. While these laws are presented under the guise of public safety, many proponents of gun rights view them as mere cosmetic interventions that do little to prevent the real issues at hand.

In the latest sign that Prime Minister Justin Trudeaus assault weapon gun ban and confiscation scheme is more concerned with persecuting responsible gun-owners than keeping Canadians safe, the amnesty period has (once again) been extended. Readers may recall the extreme language the Liberal government employed in May 2020 to justify the immediate necessity for the measure, citing the inherent deadliness of assault-style firearms that are not suitable for civilian use and claiming that the newly prescribed firearms are primarily designed for military or paramilitary purposes with the capability of injuring, immobilizing or killing humans in large numbers within a short period of time

The 26 Nosler and 28 Nosler are the first two entries in the Nosler cartridge line that were specifically designed for long range shooting and big game hunting.
Both rounds were developed to push the edges of the performance envelope and give shooters an incredibly flat shooting, hard-hitting round that could dominate the great outdoors and the F-class firing line simultaneously.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Today the taxing power, rather than chattel slavery, is the instrument by which the parasitical element of the population subsists. And that element, which includes politicians, panics at the slightest reduction in the state's power to plunder. Once you start liberating taxpayers, even a little tiny bit, nobody knows where it may end. Joseph Sobran |
