I was once perusing my local gun forum and someone posted a question, Which is better for big game hunting in North America? 300 Win Mag or 300 WSM? The users who answered all began debating differences in ballistics, case capacity, terminal performance, and ammo selection. |

How effective are we at stopping mass murder when we were allowed to go armed? Ordinary citizens stopped mass murder 51 percent of the time.
That explains why murderers choose gun free zones. It also explains why anti-gun politicians want more gun-free zones, and the politicized FBI wont report honest data. |

Generally, the defensive handgun crowd does not spend much time on training for real accuracy with the pistol. Due to the nature of most defensive gun uses, shorter-range engagement is the focus of defensive pistol training. And even action shooting sports such as USPSA and IDPA primarily involve engaging larger targets quickly at closer ranges. There is simply no emphasis placed on exceptional pistol accuracy in action shooting sports or defensive pistol craft. |

Beginning last year, NRA-ILA has been keeping readers up to date with an ongoing effort by the Mexican government and domestic gun control supporters to attack the American firearms industry. According to a new report from Politico, this conspiracy to leverage a foreign sovereign to undermine an American constitutional right has become more formalized in recent days with the creation of a new advocacy group named Global Action on Gun Violence.

Last week was a good one for the Second Amendment Foundation, a gun rights non-profit based in Washington State but with a legal reach all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, but founder Alan Gottlieb isnt letting it go to his head.
Gottlieb, who serves as executive vice president of the organization, is smiling. SAF has been around more than 40 years, but hardly anyone outside of the firearms community had heard of the group prior to the 2010 Supreme Court ruling in McDonald v. City of Chicagowhich was a SAF casebecause it focuses on legal action rather than political action. |

New York has issued hundreds more orders of protection meant to keep guns away from those deemed a danger to themselves or others following the expansion of the state's red flag law earlier this year, Gov. Kathy Hochul on Monday said. "This is really a fight across our nation," Hochul said at a Capitol news conference with state Attorney General Letitia James. "It's been my priority. It's not a new development. It's something we've focused on with great intensity."

Since the invention of the modern cartridge in 1846, weve seen an uncountable number of them come and go. Most have evolved out of the need to sell something new to the shooting public. A few proved to be genuinely useful. The most influential rifle cartridgesfive in allhave altered the course of firearms development.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She well knows that by one enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standards of freedom. JOHN QUINCY ADAMS (1821) |
