The only fear my CZ-P10c has incited is in the hearts of those miscreants who stood down the working end of it; to those behind it, it has brought nothing but comfort and security.

And I am not the only one who can attest to this phenomenon. The CDC has noted that Americans use firearms in self-defense between 500,000 and 3 million times every year. There are a plethora of stories and anecdotes about good Samaritans using their firearms, like a few years ago

According to the charging documents, Rittenhouse was approached by an unarmed Rosenbaum, who attempted to grab the rifle that Rittenhouse was holding. Rittenhouse then fired four shots at Rosenbaum, killing him, then placed a call and said on the phone, I just killed somebody. This led to the first-degree reckless homicide charge.

The criminal complaint says that several protesters began chasing Rittenhouse, yelling, Get his a--, and that he had shot someone. The complaint says that during the short chase, Rittenhouse tripped and fell, and an unidentified man jumped over Rittenhouse, who fired two shots at the man. This led to one of the reckless endangerment charges.

Starting November 1, the process for obtaining a firearm license in the United Kingdom is set to get harder and more invasive. On October 20, the Tory government issued new statutory guidance relating to firearm licensing and announced that No one will be given a firearms license unless the police have reviewed information from a registered doctor setting out whether or not the applicant has any relevant medical history Extending beyond a medical veto on firearms licenses, the UK Home Office also announced guidance encouraging law enforcement to delve into an applicants social media and financial history when making license determinations.

The Supreme Court will hear oral arguments Wednesday in a case that could broaden gun rights nationwide and transform how the Second Amendment is interpreted in the United States.

On the surface, the dispute involves whether a New York law that restricts individuals from carrying concealed handguns outside the home for self-defense passes legal muster. The case is brought by two individuals and the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association, which is affiliated with the National Rifle Association.

I went to the sheriff to get a permit for those people who are guarding me, King told fellow protest organizers at a February 1956 meeting. In substance, he was saying, You are at the disposal of the hoodlums.

At the time, it was illegal in Alabama to carry a pistol in any vehicle or concealed on ones person without a license. The law said a probate judge, police chief or sheriff may issue a license if it appears that the applicant has good reason to fear injury to his person or property, or has any other proper reason for carrying a pistol.

NY: We are public defenders. New Yorks gun laws eviscerate our clients Second Amendment rights.

As we argued in an amicus brief, we hope New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen ends prosecutions like Joses. In District of Columbia v. Heller and McDonald v. City of Chicago, the court recognized a constitutional right to possess a firearm in self-defense. Despite those decisions, that right has been a myth for our clients. New York law says that if someone does not first obtain a government license, then they have no Second Amendment right anywhere, both outside and in their own home. That licensing requirement is the key to New Yorks ban on firearm possession: It is a pretext whose true purpose is to make firearm possession unlawful. For our clients, it makes the Second Amendment a legal fiction.

When Kyle Rittenhouse goes on trial Monday for shooting three men during street protests in Wisconsin that followed the police shooting of Jacob Blake last summer, hell argue that he fired in self-defense.

Legal experts say under Wisconsin law he has a strong case. Whats less clear is whether prosecutors will be able to persuade the jury that Rittenhouse created a deadly situation by showing up in Kenosha with an AR-style semiautomatic rifle and that in doing so he forfeited his claim to self-defense.

Pennsylvania state Sen. Pat Stefano has introduced legislation he said allows residents to better protect their family, themselves and their property.

Stefano, R-Connellsville, said his bill would expand self-defense protections from a residents dwelling to their property line under Pennsylvanias Castle Doctrine.

Stefano acknowledged forcing residents to wait to defend themselves or a loved one until after a criminal enters their home could lead to a tragedy that otherwise could be prevented.

They say the battle lines that actually matter have been drawn around state legislatures, which are setting the country's landscape on guns through state laws -- or sometimes, the lack thereof.

Joseph Blocher, professor of law and co-director of the Center for Firearms Law at Duke Law School, described the patchwork of state laws that exists across the country as a "buffer zone" for the Second Amendment.

Carry guns, and our EDC setups are unique to every gun owner that chooses to carry a firearm for self-defense. There is no correct answer to what gun to carry or what holster to use. Hell, even where to carry a gun is something that can be debated without finding a one size fits all answer. But what we can do is share our reasonings for what we do.

Candidates are not the only thing Blair County voters will see on their ballots Tuesday.

Thanks to a concerted effort from Blair Countys Tea Party, two referendums to make Blair County and its 24 municipalities a second amendment sanctuary will be on the ballot, one that covers the entire county and one specific to each municipality.

Rhonda Holland, president of the Blair County Tea Party, said the second amendment, which guarantees citizens the right to keep and bear arms, is under attack and that if people dont act, government will take more control.

In the aftermath of the Boise Towne Square shooting, leaders are wondering how to prevent another tragedy.

After a fatal shooting, particularly one in a public setting, talk often turns to gun control. In Idaho, one of the most gun-friendly states in the United States, the chance of gun control passing is slim, political experts said.

I would be extremely surprised to see Idaho or any state with Idahos political composition make any kind of more restrictive movement, said Jeff Lyons, associate professor in the Boise State University School of Public Service.

A gun-rights advocacy group has filed a lawsuit challenging Delawares impending criminalization of unregistered firearms, claiming the bill signed into law last week infringes on freedom of speech and the rights to due process and to bear arms.

The complaint filed Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware by the Firearms Policy Coalition and two Delawareans against Gov. John Carney and Attorney General Kathy Jennings asks the federal court to declare the measure, which was passed as House Bill No. 125 unconstitutional.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit heard oral argument in one such case, Gun Owners of America, Inc. v. Department of Justice. The appeal relates to a March 3, 2020 declaration by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) that Michigan's concealed pistol license holders are no longer exempt from the national instant background check before the sale of a firearm because the Michigan State Police do not adequately research previous criminal convictions to determine whether a license applicant is prohibited from possessing a firearm. (ATF also undertook a similar action against Alabama pistol permit holders.)

The Kimber Micro 9 Stealth FO is a micro 9mm that brings some of the best characteristics of the classic 1911 into a compact carry package. Along with all of the normal extras, this gun does come with some additional fiber-optic tubes for your sights, which is a nice touch.

That, however, is hardly the highlight of this little 1911-style package that also brings some of the best features of the classic full-size 1911 into a micro-compact pistol. The Kimber Micro 9 is a very popular handgun for a good reason. The size of the gun is an obvious selling point, but the pistol still manages to boast a light and accurate trigger that puts most daily carry guns to shame.
