The instruction Wilson referred to would have explained the concept of a persons right to defend another person. Wyoming law acknowledges the right come to anothers defense if you have a reasonable belief that person is in imminent danger of harm or death.
Under this law, coming to anothers defense means effectively stepping into their shoes and then exercising that persons right of self-defense on their behalf. |

Gun-rights groups understandably are upset that a Louisiana public school punished a fourth-grade student after a teacher saw a BB gun in the boys bedroom during a video classroom session. That was an absurd case of political correctness, given that the gun merely was in the background. It reflects infuriating anti-gun bias.
Now contrast many gun activists reaction or apparent lack thereof to a more significant gun-related issue that grabbed headlines the same week. A grand jury in Louisville, Kentucky, gave a wrist slap to officers who killed Breonna Taylor during a no-knock raid at her home. |

The Ninth Circuit has established a tradition of re-hearing cases favorable to the Second Amendment and not re-hearing cases which are not favorable to the Second Amendment. This gives the Ninth a second chance to derail an effective Second Amendment.
President Trump has appointed 10 judges to the Ninth Circuit. There are 29 active judges on the Ninth Circuit. Judges to en banc panels are chosen, to some extent, randomly. There are eleven judges on a Ninth circuit en banc panel. |

As the only one of the four congressional leaders not from New York or California, my job is to look out for middle America the region liberals refer to with contempt as flyover country. My mission especially is to look out for Kentucky, my favorite state in middle America.
Washington Democrats dont care about Kentucky values. They want to defund the police and take away your Second Amendment rights. They want free health care for illegal immigrants, yet refuse to protect unborn Americans. Washington Democrats dont care about confirming judges that will protect your constitutional rights. |

Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago is presiding over a marked increase in the number of murders in her city. By July 2020, there had been more murders in Chicago than there were in all of 2019. In response, Lightfoot has geared up and taken the fight to ... Indiana?
Stop me if youve heard this one before.
Lightfoot claims that the rise in violence is the fault of everyone other than herself, the citys council and the people who live in the city she governs. We are being inundated, she complains, with guns from states that have virtually no gun control, no background checks, no ban on assault weaponsthat is hurting cities like Chicago. |

Militia groups in Virginia will tell you that a militia is not really something you have to joinif youre between 16 and 55 and able-bodied, you already belong.
Article 1, Section 13 of the Virginia Constitution says that a well-regulated militia is composed of the body of the people, trained to arms and represents the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state.
Im a member of the militia, as are you, said Nelson County resident Paul Cangialosi. It exists, were in it, and my position is that we have an obligation to be well-prepared. We have neglected that for well over 100 years, so now were trying to put it back together. |

A federal judge ruled this week that city officials in Los Angeles must pay the National Rifle Association a six-figure settlement after violating the gun-rights group's First Amendment rights.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, Judge Stephen Wilson blocked an ordinance late last year that would have forced companies to disclose connections with the NRA in order to receive government contracts.
Now he has ordered city officials to pay for the Second Amendment group's attorney fees, reportedly totaling nearly $150,000. |

Spike Cohen supports the Second Amendment.
The self-described anarchist and vice-presidential candidate for the Libertarian Party sees himself as more pro-gun than the Republican Party. Its a point he emphasized during a three-hour appearance on Boston Common during which he spoke with about 20 people.
He criticized Republicans for supporting Red Flag gun laws, and President Donald Trump for banning bump stocks. He also took issue with Republicans supporting gun rights yet excluding illegal immigrants from the opportunity. |

Yesterday, Governor Mike DeWine signed House Bill 614 into law, legislation that should help to relax the concerns of law-abiding Ohio gun owners whose CHLs are expiring soon.
An amendment to HB 614 extends all CHL expiration dates through at least June 30, 2021. In addition, if a license expires between April 1, 2021 and June 30, 2021, the license is further extended an additional 90 days past the expiration date. |

Okay, its one month until the national election probably the most important election in your lifetime. You dont want to sit on the sidelines watching other people deciding your future, do you?
If youre not registered to vote at your current address, you need to take care of that immediately! Insider doesnt want to hear from anybody lamenting the outcome of the races for the White House, Congress, state legislatures and many governors if you didnt vote. |

Judge Barrett has followed that approach as a circuit judge. She has authored dissenting opinions defending the Second Amendment and certain Trump Administration immigration policies. She has been a leading defender of due process rights for the accused. And when her court struck down two pro-life laws in Indiana, she disagreed and defended the states right to tighten abortion regulations.
Amy Coney Barrett could be the most important addition to the Supreme Court in a generation. She is already President Trumps third Supreme Court pick in four years a remarkable feat. But more importantly, she would be the first conservative to replace a liberal on the court since 1991. |

As Election Day draws closer, Americans should be well aware of the differences between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden when it comes to their Second Amendment rights.
One of the most dangerous pillars of Bidens gun control platform is a proposed ban and voluntary buyback scheme for Modern Sporting Rifles (MSRs). Fresh data released by the FBI clearly demonstrates that there is no logic behind banning the most popular type of rifle in America today. |

Libertarian presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen says there's nothing wrong with Republicans confirming a replacement for late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the election.
In fact, if she was president, she would do the same thing.
"I'm fine with having a vote now," Jorgensen told Reason on Tuesday night in Virginia. "I'm running for president because I can best lead the country, and if it were me, I would certainly put my nominee forth." |
