"Upstairs above his gun shop and behind a door marked 'Employees Only,' Brian Borgelt huddled today at a laptop computer on a desk piled high with paperwork. Mr. Borgelt, the owner of Bull's Eye Shooter Supply, flipped through a wad of business cards from journalists. Outside in the parking lot, television cameras were fixed on the store's entrance."

"For the first time in a decade, violent crime, including murder and rape, rose in the U.S., the Associated Press reported Oct. 28."

"According to the FBI, murders increased 2.5 percent from 2000 to 2001, while robberies rose 3.7 percent and forcible rapes increased by a little less than 2.5 percent." ...

"Firearms accounted for about two-thirds of the murders..."

REALITY CHECK...

In yesterday's Newslinks, we exposed the fact that their "about two thirds" was actually 54.5% -- much closer to "one half" than "two thirds" -- and just one day later, an anti-gun group's website is repeating the Associated Press' lie.

The OFCC PAC's very first endorsements for the 2002 elections were for the Ohio Supreme Court races.

We recognized early on that the Supreme Court elections will have considerable bearing on the Conceal Carry Reform law that is currently being considered in the Senate.

A lot may be learned about the ethical integrity of the candidates, by observing an ongoing fight involving negative ads benefiting the liberals. We at the OFCC PAC thought you should know.
