The Supreme Court on Tuesday considered whether the Biden administration's restrictions on homemade firearms are consistent with the Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968. As with the Trump administration's ban on bump stocks, which the Court rejected in June, the issue in Garland v. VanDerStok is not whether the rule violates the Second Amendment but whether it exceeds the authority that Congress gave the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). Unlike in the bump stock case, however, most of the justices seem inclined to uphold the new regulations. |

Silencer Central recently sent me a Banish .338 suppressor, setting me on a quest to find a rifle chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum to pair with it. I have little experience with the .338 Lapua Magnum, and I figured it would be improper to try the suppressor with anything less than the caliber for which it was designed. Luckily, I found a Christensen Arms Model 14 MPR in our Certified Used inventory, and I couldnt wait to see how quiet it would be with the Banish.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them. Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution of the United States; With a Preliminary Review of the Constitutional History of the Colonies and States before the Adoption of the Constitution [Boston, 1833]. |
