The .350 Legend is a cartridge thats designed for whitetail huntersspecifically those in states that only allow the use of straight-wall rifle cartridges in a deer rifle. It was released in 2019 by Winchester, and although singularly purposed, its been well-received. The .350 Legend has found popularity even in states like Kentucky that dont require straight-wall cartridgessomething I found out on a recent trip to the Bluegrass State. Because of the Legends increasing popularity, we felt it was our duty to put some of the best .350 Legend rifles through extensive testing, so you know exactly what youre getting.

Oregon voters appear poised to pass a new gun control measure, but Linn County Sheriff Michelle Duncan has already pledged not to enforce at least part of the new law.

Measure 114 would ban magazines that can hold more than 10 rounds and require a police-issued, five-year permit for all gun purchases. The permitting process would include firearms training and a federal background check.

With critical issues like decades-high inflation and skyrocketing fuel prices under the Biden administration capturing much of the campaign emphasis, guns werent really a central issue in the midterm election; however, one of the few candidates who made his anti-gun ambitions a highlighted part of his campaign was roundly defeated, once again.

Robert Francis Beto ORourke (D) kept his goal of not only banning the sale of the most common semi-automatic rifles, but also confiscating them from lawful Americans, front and center in his Texas gubernatorial campaign.

Guns were on the ballot in Tuesdays midterm elections.

The hot-button issue drove ballot measures in a couple of states, and seven gun-reform candidates were elected in Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland and Minnesota, according to a report on the unofficial election results by Chip Brownlee of The Trace, the only U.S. newsroom exclusively covering gun violence.

According to the White House transcription and a report in Business Insider, the sometimes cocky Biden reminded reporters about some of his achievements so far, including the gun control legislation he signed in June.
We didnt ban assault weapons, he said. Im going to ban assault weapons.

Biden gave a strong hint he will build on the gun control package from June.

You can shoot 9mm NATO in a 9mm Luger, but there may be some issues with feeding and ejection. The 9mm NATO round is a bit longer than the 9mm Luger, so it may not fit properly in the chamber. Additionally, the 9mm NATO round has a higher pressure than the 9mm Luger, so it may cause problems with feeding and ejection.

Hawkeye State voters approved a proposed amendment to the Iowa State Constitution that not only reaffirms the federal Second Amendment, it also establishes that any gun control laws shall be viewed with strict scrutiny by Iowa courts.

His administration nevertheless defends the federal ban on gun possession by marijuana users, arguing that Second Amendment rights are limited to law-abiding citizens.

Last week, a federal judge agreed, dismissing a challenge to that rule by medical marijuana patients in Florida. The reasoning underlying that decision shows that the constitutional right to armed self-defense, which the Supreme Court has repeatedly upheld, is still subject to legislators arbitrary whims.

GRNC says McFadden appears to be using mental health records requests to delay permit issuance.

In apparent defiance of the consent order binding him as the result of our last lawsuit, Sheriff Garry McFadden continues to delay concealed handgun permits up to a year despite a law stipulating permits be issued in 45 days, GRNC President Paul Valone said in a statement. Because none of the other 99 North Carolina counties are experiencing similar delays, we have concluded that McFadden appears to be flooding the Veterans Administration with requests for mental health records even for applicants who never served in the military.

But in fact, legislators have placed limits on numerous so-called personal freedoms in the name of public safety. We pass through mandatory security checks in airports and government buildings. Were required to wear seat belts on airplanes, cars and rollercoasters.

Is it too much to ask that firearms be treated in the same, nuanced manner as motorized vehicles? That there be one set of rules for owning and carrying a handgun; another for purchasing a semiautomatic, assault-style rifle; and a third for how much ammo a single clip may hold?

To draw a contrast with Boeberts antics, Frisch campaigned as a moderate who would keep a lower profile and work with both Democrats and Republicans. He said he hoped to join the Problem Solvers Caucus, which consists of members of both parties seeking common ground. He earned the endorsement of Boeberts Republican primary opponent. His campaign video proclaimed him a conservative businessman who supports the Second Amendment, securing the border, and reducing government regulation, complete with shots of a man in camouflage toting a rifle and a patrol car driving by the border wall.

Penn, a nurse from Cache County, Utah, decided to jump into politics in response to coronavirus mandates and lockdowns that she describes on her campaign website as unconstitutional.

Her political beliefs and priorities are fairly typical for a more conservative Republican candidate.

She wants limited government and lower taxes. She wants to preserve Second Amendment and parental rights. Shes for voter identification requirements and against crossover voting, which she thinks needs to be thrown out of Wyoming. While Penn supports medical freedom, shes also 100% pro-life and advocates for the punishment of medical practitioners who intentionally violate the unborns right to life.

The teenager announced the news with a screenshot of his new blue checkmark, tweeting: 'Uh-oh. Thank you @elonmusk.'

That challenge has now failed. A federal district judge dismissed Frieds Constitutional challenge to the law. Judge Allen Winsor cited that just because federal authorities do not enforce marijuana prohibition, the drug still remains illegal under federal law.

Regardless of whether plaintiffs are prosecuted (or whether Congress allocates funds for their prosecution), possession of marijuana remains a federal crime, Judge Winsor wrote in his 22-page decision. The Rohrabacher-Farr Amendment at best precludes prosecution now; it does not forever bless plaintiffs actions.

While it might be a constitutional right, the laws vary from state to state, which is why members of Congress have passed several pieces of legislation, including the Stand Your Ground law.
