Did that contribute to his present narrow margin which has led to a recount?

Another wacko anti gun cartoon from far left wing Pat Bagley. Entertaining in a masochistic way. Too ridiculous to describe. See for yourself. Please go and comment civilly at the echo chamber where this drivel is published and influences thousands in a red state.

The election of pro-gun-control lawmakers in the House, which helped Democrats capture the majority during this month's midterm elections, is being seen by those wanting to limit Second Amendment rights as a pivotal political moment.

The tide has been turning for some time now, with more and more Americans getting frustrated and saying enough with each mass shooting. We saw it in last year's elections in Virginia and New Jersey when voters listed gun safety as a top priority, and we saw it again this year, Max Samis, press secretary for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, told the Washington Examiner.

Dr. Garen Wintemute, an emergency room doctor and the director of the Violence Prevention Research Program at the University of California-Davis Medical Center, has studied gun shows and found there is a Nazi subculture at many gun shows.

His program issued a book-length report on gun shows nationwide and found that most of those selling nazi memorabilia are doing it for historic purposes but that some are clearly proselytizing.

A man acted in self-defense when he fatally shot another man at a northwest Atlanta park Saturday night, police said.

Based on the investigation, this case is being treated as a felon killed by private citizen (which essentially means self-defense), police spokeswoman Lisa Bender said Wednesday in a statement. The case will be forwarded to the Fulton County DAs office for further investigation.

State lawmakers are one step closer to changing Ohios laws regarding self-defense. Wednesday, the Ohio House of Representatives passed what is often called the Stand Your Ground bill.

Critics say the law will turn Ohio into a shoot first state and make it harder to prosecute gun violence.

Supporters say it will help Ohioans better protect themselves and their families against harm.

FL: Pam Bondi clashes with top prosecutor over Florida's 'stand your ground' law

Bondis office late Tuesday filed a document opposing a request by Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle to take a friend-of-the-court position in the case. Fernandez Rundle has asked the court for permission to adopt the position of the League of Prosecutors-Florida, which argues the controversial 2017 change is unconstitutional.

The newly filed document said Bondi is Floridas chief legal officer and that she --- and not the state attorney --- represents the state in such cases. It said granting Fernandez Rundles request would serve no purpose other than to circumvent Florida law, which grants the attorney general, not the state attorney, the authority to speak for the state in its appellate courts.

Now, a work group from the American College of Surgeons has chimed in with the release Wednesday of a new set of gun-safety recommendations that aims to bridge the political divide. The recommendations, which include robust background checks, enhanced gun-safety training, mandatory reporting requirements for people considered a threat to themselves or others, and the use of innovative technologies to prevent accidental firearms discharge, are striking not so much for their content as their authorship.

The mere presence of a gun in a home significantly increases all household members risk of a gun-related death due to suicide, homicide, or an accidental shooting. The purported benefits of defensive gun use do not offset the magnitude of this risk. A comprehensive analysis of 626 shootings occurring in three major U.S. cities found that for every time a gun was legally used to kill or injure for self-defense in the home, guns were also used for 11 attempted or completed suicides, seven homicides or criminal assaults, and four accidental shootings.

"Apparently Mr. Mason opened fire on both neighbors, or fired in their direction. The one neighbor in self-defense fired back," district attorney Paul Frasier said. "What we're finding this morning in daylight is we've got a large outdoor scene. We're finding bullet strikes in buildings and houses, shell cases and spent bullets on the ground."

While Gov. John Kasich headed to New Hampshire to test his presidential options on Wednesday, lawmakers at home moved to set up potential confrontations with him over guns, abortion, and government regulation.

The House voted 64-26 to pass House Bill 228 to make Ohio the latest stand your ground state that would eliminate the duty to retreat from an altercation before using force when in a place where a person is legally allowed to be.

It would shift the burden of proof that someone was acting at the time in defense of himself, someone else, or his home until a prosecutor can prove otherwise beyond a reasonable doubt.

The court acknowledged the government itself enjoys First Amendment protection. Which means a governor or other state official is not required to be viewpoint neutral when expressing their view on a matter of public policy. But the court also recognized that government, through its speech and conduct, cannot engage in censorship or other coercive conduct.

Prepare for a plethora of Ps! Plus-P ammunition is said to have more power, because it has more powder inside the case compared to the average for a given caliber. But really, the P is for pressure. Its gas pressure, after all, that provideswait for itpropulsion to drive the bullet through the barrel.

Plus-P ammunition is found most commonly in revolver calibers like .38 Special and .357 Magnum. Its also available, but a little harder to find, in semiauto calibers as small as 9mm and up to .45 ACP.
