Weve heard advocates of gun-prohibition say that more guns mean more crime and that disarming honest citizens stops criminals. I am not convinced that gun-prohibition laws work as advertised. We also have some tragic stories to consider where gun control succeeded and people died.

See for yourself.

Weve heard the advocates of gun-control say they havent done enough and we need even more gun-prohibition laws than we already have. Ive looked at the record. I am not convinced that gun-prohibition works, and we have some tragic stories to consider as well.

The closer I look the more I think that gun-control laws cost lives.

Once proclaimed the Emerald City in an effort to enhance its image as a Pacific Northwest metropolis, the city of Seattle has become a train wreck of politics and now it appears even King County government workers believe the downtown area is a hell hole.

Beginning Monday, employees at the King County Courthouse will receive escorts to transportation points.

Ultimate AK/AR Crossover: CMMG Mk47 Mutant

In fact, this gun is so reliable the original was a demo gun for many years and chewed through over 150,000 rounds before needing restoration. One year, Eric of IV8888 fame even did a melt-down test on the Mk47, and it survived 1,266 rounds in full auto before the gas tube failed, which is by design. So its pretty impressive. The particular one at the booth this year has seen about 15,000 rounds after being demoed at only three events thus far. How many rounds will this one last? Certainly many, many more.

We get it. AR-style rifles are some of the most adaptable and mission-fictional guns out there. But they are not the only combat-ready platforms waiting to take names on the competition or tactical shooting field. The AK-47 is a worthy competitor, and the Galil variants take the AK platform to a level that deserves recognition. The IWI Galil ACE comes from the AK-47 lineage, but it is a gun that owns not only the history of the AK-47 but the some of the customizability of the AR-15. Heres how one of our shooters put this top-dog gun to use on the competition

Hunters are grabbing their gear and heading outside Monday rain or shine to start their firearm hunting season. They say a lot more beginners are out hunting, and they love the opportunity to show the young ones the ropes. Its a blast to be telling everyone what we do so we can help other people out and watch them have the kids shoot a deer and get all happy and see it on Facebook, its a good feeling, said hunters Hunter Obenour and Zach Miles.

Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail Ammo: FMJ-BT Bullets Explained

As with any full metal jacket bullet, the FMJ boat tail is fully (or mostly) encased in copper or another hard metal or material. Roughly resembling the shape of a boat, boat tails are named for their designed tapered rear when viewed from the side. This bullet type is commonly used for competition shooting due to their easy assembly. These rounds tend to be easy to assemble without denting, nicking or scratching the bullet surface and any tiny imperfection can lead to unwanted bullet performance, or can even cause issues with the casing.

Legal Expert: Judge Should Not Allow Rittenhouse Jury to Consider Firearms Charge

George Washington Universitys Jonathan Turley believes testimony and Judge Bruce Schroeders observations in Kyle Rittenhouses trial have undercut the firearms charge and that said charge ought not be heard by the jury.

On November 12, 2021, Breitbart News noted that Schroeder expressed skepticism about the state gun law and said he would let the charge go to the jury, but would allow the defense to include an instruction that pointed out the exceptions in the law a hurdle that would make it more difficult for the prosecution to prove guilt.

Many readers have avidly been following the Kyle Rittenhouse self-defense trial in Kenosha, Wisconsin. One of the important aspects of the case is the contention over what Wisconsin statute 948.60 (Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.) means. This correspondent has written extensively on this issue. Here is the relevant portion of the trial from this week.

The Lynching of Kyle Rittenhouse

Its a word you arent allowed to say lynching because leftists have claimed domain over it, making it an exclusively race-based thing, which is ironic considering the fact that it was Democrats who were lynching black people in the south. But the literal definition, at least until liberals pressure dictionary.com into changing it, is to put to death, especially by hanging, by mob action and without legal authority and to criticize, condemn, etc., in public. While he hasnt been killed by the liberal mob, at least not yet, what the media is doing to Kyle Rittenhouse is exactly what the second definition of lynching is.

The announced departure this past week of Remington, the countrys oldest gun manufacturer, from a blue state to a red state is just one of several instances of firearm companies relocating to friendlier jurisdictions in recent years. Remington, founded more than 200 years ago, will soon be headquartered in LaGrange, Georgia, hundreds of miles away from its current base of operations in New York, where the business was founded. The move is evidence of a shift in the gun industry in which companies are moving to new states typically Republican-led states with lower taxes and more politically accommodating environments for gunmakers.

Beretta introduced its Tomcat in 1996, and the tiny pistol chambered in .32 ACP continues to be an option for concealed carry and backup use. The handgun is a little different than most other semi-automatics, though. Most notably the barrel rotates up to insert a cartridge, a pleasant advantage for anyone who struggles racking slides and doesnt prefer revolvers.

Firearm seasons for deer are open across the Midwest. For many of us, this is the most exciting time of the year. Crowds are filling restaurants in rural towns. Hotels are full of pickup trucks towing trailers loaded with ATVs. Strangers are talking to strangers at the gas station, as long as they are wearing camo or displaying the customary blaze orange cap on their dash. Families and friends are coming together for annual traditions and to make new memories.
