Perhaps best known for its Premium brand launched in 1977, Federal Ammunition has its humble beginnings in an ammo and bicycle company founded in 1916 in Anoka, Minnesota. While Federal no longer sells bicycles, they still make ammo in their Anoka headquarters, where a single plant manufactures dozens of calibers. Federal was eventually purchased by Charles L. Horn in 1922, two years after the company shut its doors. Horn is considered the founder of the company, as he built the brand into what it is today. |

Just yesterday, Gov. Kathy Hochul appeared on MSNBCs Politics Nation to make some very starling claims. MSNBC is the foremost platform for Democrats seeking to peddle misinformation. The other mainstream media outlets are also welcoming, but there is a slight chance of some pushback when the fabrication goes too far. However, on MSNBC there will only be nods of approval. |

The Hill is reporting that gun legislation remains a key issue for many voters going into the midterm election this year, while explaining how gun-related issues are not on the ballot in most states.
But is that accurate? Considering the sometimes vast differences between the political parties on how they address violent crime, Second Amendment rights and restrictions, one might suggest gun rights are on the ballots of all 50 states. |

The Second Amendment Foundation and its partners have filed a supplemental brief in their challenge of Marylands ban on so-called assault weapons, telling the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals the states position was effectively nullified by the June Supreme Court ruling in the Bruen case.
This is one of four cases the high court remanded to the appeals courts for further action consistent with language in the Bruen ruling, noted SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. The states position is to take the case farther back, which we see as a tactic to delay the inevitable, which is that Marylands ban on modern semiautomatic rifles violates the constitutions Second Amendment. |

Marylands ban on semiautomatic assault-style weapons violates the constitutional right to keep and bear arms because the guns, though dangerous, are commonly used by law-abiding citizens, gun rights advocates told a federal appeals court Monday. The advocates cited a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in stating that gun restrictions are constitutionally valid only if in keeping with the nations history of regulating dangerous and unusual weapons when the Second Amendment was ratified in 1791 or when the 14th Amendment extended the right to the states in 1868.

We don't know about you, but we're all still dealing with a candy hangover following one of the best holidays of the year. While sweet treats of all kinds may have been on the minds of people last weekend, freedom and the right to bear arms continue to show up in people's wallets. October proved to be another strong month for firearms sales across the country, staying on trend with what we've been seeing over the past couple of years. |

Have you ever found a gem in an unexpected place? While on a hunting trip to Kansas, I traveled to Garden City one afternoon to check out an antique gun store. In it, I found many rare and collectible rifles, pistols, and shotguns dating back over 100 years. I needed a .22-caliber lever gun to compete in lever-gun silhouette matches in Tucson and New Mexico, so I asked the clerk for a Marlin 39A. The one he had was just average. He then told me to consider a rare Model 39. I had never seen one before, and it was a beautiful gem of a rifle. |
