... "Of special pertinence to those interested in the civil contempt of Congress case against Attorney General Eric Holder, to be ruled on by the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, are the arguments revolving around the invocation of executive privilege. But those wishing to understand how current debate has been shaped will want to not just focus on Fast and Furious, but to see the historical and legal oversight and separation of powers precedents." ... |

"The following is chapter one of an upcoming book by Bruce Krafft:"
"I have often heard people complain about how 'confusing' the Second Amendments wording is. A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Part of that is due to its somewhat archaic construction and part of that comes from changes in language and the meaning of words over the decades. And unfortunately . . ." ... |

"Since President Barack Obama won re-election just two weeks ago, there has been a run on gun purchases by Americans, mostly whites, all across the country. Gun sellers, including Smith & Wesson and Sturm, Ruger & Co. have described it as a sales boom as the purchase of guns has risen significantly since the president was re-elected."

"Its so seductively easy to talk yourself into not carrying a gun some days. Think about if for, oh, nine seconds or so and youll come up with any one of a dozen ready justifications for leaving your heater at home. Its hot outside, the clothes I need to wear dont cover my rig well, its uncomfortable, I might have to go into a bank/school/hospital/post office or some other designated free-fire zone, its heavy, I dont like how it feels, its a pain in the ass. Yes, all of those can be and are sensible considerationsright up until the time when you actually do (God forbid) wish you had that mohaska on your hip. ..." ... |

"How would you like a 1911 with a 5-inch barrel that can kick out a 230-grain slug at about 1,000 fps? Well, according to the testing we at Ballistics By The Inch have done that isnt impossible without the right +P ammunition. Standard pressure .45 ammo is usually more on the order of 850 fps. But what about pushing a 275-grain slug at that same speed or just a tich faster?"
"Well, its a trick question because Im not talking about a .45 1911. Im talking about a .50 GI out of the Model 2 from Guncrafter Industries." ... |

... "... This nations sensitivities are numbed; weve got to get out from under the idiotic biblical injunction of "an eye for an eye," as well as governmental/corporate lies sending us to war. They take us back to the jungle."
"Lets not forget that the archaic Second Amendment, which provides the opportunity to get weapons of mass destruction, needs to be rewritten or abolished." -------

"Theres a little bit more to hunting than just finding a deer and shooting it. In order to get the best tasting meat you need to field dress that sucker ASAP, which means removing all the messy bits from the inside. You know, the ones that contain the bacteria and foul smelling stuff that makes for stinky and unhealthy meat. Following Dans kill, I helped Tyler field dress the buck in anticipation of its pending donation and we got it on film ..." |

"Come on, how many times does it have to be said? Austin Lee Harvey (no really) and a pal, Justin Slivinski, tried to stick up a guy using an ATM from his car Friday night in Fern Park just north of Orlando. But while the two yoots brought knives, the motorist hadwell, you guessed it. From cfnews13.com: 'The man, armed with a gun, shot at them and hit the other suspect, 24-year-old Justin Slivinski. Slivinski was taken to Florida Hospital Altamonte where he was pronounced dead.' So thats one inmate the people of Florida wont have to pay to support. Harvey, though, managed to dodge the incoming fire, but now resides in the John E. Polk Correctional Facility. ..." |

According to court documents, the homeowner says he pointed a gun at Lanning and told him not to move. He says Lanning moved toward him and that's when he shot him in the shoulder."
"The homeowner then called 911 and held Lanning at gunpoint until police got there."
"Police say Lanning did not know he was in Charleston and told them that he was in Hurricane and staying with a friend. The homeowner told police that he didn't know Lanning and officers say the door appeared to have been kicked in." ... |

"As reported earlier today at BuckeyeFirearms.org, an arbitrator ruled that infamous Canton Police Officer Daniel Harless has to be allowed to return to his job once he has received treatment ... Harless was fired for threatening to execute concealed carry license holder William Bartlett during a traffic stop." ...
"Just as appalling, however, is the one-sided and biased reporting of Canton Repository staff writer Ed Balint who implied that Harless was fired only because of an internet firestorm conjured by the pro-gun community. Balint also made sure to include several quotes from the [FoP] attorney, Michael Piotrowski, but failed to include a single quote from a member of the pro-gun, or civil rights community." ... |
