"If passed and signed into law, his bill would effectively negate the ability of concealed carry permit holders, or gun owners in states that recognize 'Constitutional carry,' to lawfully carry their firearm when dropping off or picking passengers up, rendering them defenseless for the duration of the trip to and from an airport. And importantly, it 'would take precedence over any city or state laws that allow weapons in any airports nationwide.'

Here is a very neat example of an improvised revolving shotgun displayed by police in Taiwan. This design makes use of a paintball marker as its receiver/fire control and is fitted with airsoft M4 rails & fore-grip. It appears several have been recovered from various drug related incidents suggesting illicit factory origin.

A similar pistol variation also appears to have been recovered. The drum assembly closely resembles others recovered from a large illicit factory raid in 2005.

These simple designs are entirely manually operated. A spring loaded ball bearing seated in the frame friction locks into a dimple beside each chamber which can be overcome when rotating the drum by hand. All fire from an open bolt / striker, in some exampl

Just hours before House Bill 203 will be voted on in the House, groups against the gun bill gathered in the Statehouse to voice their opposition.

Ohio is heading in the wrong direction. We know the results of stand your ground. Human life is too important to make a mistake and just one life lost is one too many, said Rep. Alicia Reece, president of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus.

The .32 Smith & Wesson cartridge was then lengthened in 1896 to become the .32 Smith & Wesson Long. The 1899 Military & Police (in .32 S&W Long) was Smith & Wessons first swing-out cylinder revolver. Before production ended on their I-frames, which are slightly smaller than the J-frames, Smith & Wesson had produced over 700,000 .32 DA sixguns. The K-32 was built on Smith & Wessons medium frame, which we now know as the K-frame.

The case has been turned over to the Maricopa County Attorneys Office for review as is standard when the possibility of self defense is an issue, police said in a press release.

Investigators determined that an argument started between Manuel Loreto, 27, and individuals at the party during the early morning hours of Oct. 20, police said.

On Oct. 24, two students at Gonzaga University defended themselves from a home invader by brandishing a pistol. Lamentably, Gonzaga has a ban on firearms in university buildings and residences. Therefore, even though the students were defending their castle or, more technically, habitation, they were still placed on probation by the school. The two students, Erik Fagan and Daniel McIntosh, are appealing their probation and the school has promised to review its no-weapons policy, but this case is just the tip of the iceberg. The sad reality is that all but a few universities prevent students from possessing firearms in university-owned residences.

The Ohio House moved legislation Wednesday that provides some legal protection for residents defending themselves during violent attacks -- over objections from black lawmakers and others concerned about the state adopting its own version of controversial "Stand Your Ground" laws.

House Bill 203 passed on a vote of 62-27 and heads to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.

Proponents said the changes are needed to fix issues in Ohio's concealed carry laws and to protect the people of the state.

Opponents including black legislators, youth and church groups decried the dangers of an Ohio stand your ground self-defense proposal Wednesday, as the expansive gun measure moved toward House passage.

State Rep. Alicia Reese, president of the Ohio Legislative Black Caucus, said broadening the list of circumstances under which people can use force without the duty to first retreat will be bad for the state.

Stand Your Ground is starting to look like a law for whites to ensure they never have to face criminal charges when they kill a black or brown person regardless of the circumstances. If thats the way the law plays out consistently, then there truly is little ground left to stand on for non-white citizens. We will see how all this plays out over the next year as these cases go to court. The U.S. Supreme Court may see a Stand Your Grand case on its docket in the near future.

Ohios Republican-controlled legislature is set to hear a bill today (HB 203) that will seriously loosen Ohios already lax concealed carry requirements while adding new stand your ground-type exceptions to existing self defense laws.

For starters, the bill will eliminate the requirement that CCW training be conducted for a minimum of 12 hours. Which is completely ridiculous. I took the CCW course from a very good instructor and still I thought it was much too short and much too easy.

The June 2010 violence that took place in southern Kyrgyzstan caused a significant number of deaths, injuries, displaced persons, property damage, and general unease among the people. The consequences and concerns of this violence remain.[1] One concern is the firearms and ammunition crowds seized from police stations and facilities of the Ministries of the Interior and Defense, and the Border Guards service.[2]

The firearms included pistols, assault (Kalashnikov variants) and sniper rifles, grenades and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

Supporters of an effort to expand Indianapolis gunfire ban are reloading for a new fight.

Last month, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballards administration quickly neutralized an inadvertent expansion of the gunfire ban zone that went unnoticed as part of a tax district change.

Now City-County Council member Angela Mansfield, a Democrat, says she is preparing a new attempt to restrict hunting and target practice in some outlying areas of Marion County. Sport shooting long has been allowed outside the old city limits, and Mansfields goal is to outlaw it in densely populated areas and places near homes.

As a sort of brass and lead tribute to the venerable and much-loved 1911 pistol, Winchester has developed a pair of loads that are tailored specifically for the classic .45.

More than 100 years old the 1911 remains one of the most popular handguns of all time. Almost every major gun manufacturer makes a version of the 1911 and its come a long way since the first run produced by John Moses Browning.
