It's a situation no one wants to be in: having to use lethal force to protect yourself or someone else. But what are your rights? What are the lines between self-defense and murder? First, lets look at the law. Criminal defense attorney, Mike Small, said it's pretty straightforward. "A homicide is justifiable when committed in self-defense," said Small. Small pointed to Louisianas criminal code. |

With Wilson's signature, South Carolina signed onto a letter with four other states Missouri, Alabama, Louisiana, and Montana in asking Congress to pass either the U.S. Senates Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017 or the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017, a House bill. |

Anti-gun local governments in one New Jersey county have taken votes against the proposed Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act that may represent the philosophical divide between elected officials and their constituents when it comes to civil rights: Politicians dont trust armed citizens, but those citizens trust each other. According to NorthJersey.com, officials in several Bergen County towns have adopted resolutions opposing the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act of 2017, which would require all states to recognize permits issued by other states, including ones with less-stringent laws. |

The heart and soul of America is at stake. We have an epic battle on our hands, a titanic struggle over not just our Second Amendment-protected freedom, but for all of the freedoms and values that define our great country. You know what Im talking about. You feel it in your heart. The liberal elites from Hollywood to New York City, to the political elites of Washington, D.C., are doing everything they can to impose their utopian and, frankly, un-American vision upon us all. And theyre not one bit interested in our vision of our great nation of personal freedom and constitutional liberty.

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., was on Long Island on Monday to reintroduce gun control legislation to curb gun trafficking. Gillibrand called out Congress for being paralyzed as mass shootings become regular occurrences. Are they waiting for the NRA to come in and give them permission to stand up and do something? If the NRA said today, assault rifles or bump stocks should be banned, I promise you, it would be done tomorrow.

When most people think of air rifles, they probably picture something along the lines of the BB guns many of us grew up shooting. However, several different companies have developed much more powerful big bore air rifles better suited to hunting big game in the past few years. For that reason, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is considering allowing hunters to use air rifles on big game species such as white-tailed deer during the 2018 hunting season.

Its time to come clean. Your gift giving wasnt where it needed to be last year. You really need to step your game up this Christmas. Maybe you messed up and got the wife that beautiful dress shes always wanted just three sizes too big. Maybe your husband wasnt impressed with your hand-knitted sweater vest. Maybe your dad wasnt happy that you bought him a plot in that cemetery next to his ex-wife. Weve all been there.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again. EDWARD GIBBON [On ancient Athens] |
