Things have not gotten better, as WND.com reports. The Motion Picture Association of America has given lead actor Kevin Sorbos new film The Reliant an R rating, ensuring many families that dont know any better will not let their children see the film.
The reason? Executive producer (and president of the United States Concealed Carry Association) Tim Schmidt offers his view:
It seems the MPAA gave The Reliant an R-rating due to their discomfort with how the movie depicts the responsible use of a firearm by a pre-teen boy. This boy saved the innocent lives of his own family members! It just doesnt make sense to me. |

Supporters of legislation that would allow people to carry concealed handguns without a permit in South Dakota anticipate revived prospects for the conservative prize under Republican Gov.-elect Kristi Noem.
The legislation has languished for years under retiring GOP Gov. Dennis Daugaard, but Noem offered support for a so-called constitutional carry law during her campaign.
Incoming Republican Sen. Lynne DiSanto, sponsor of a permitless concealed carry bill that Daugaard vetoed, says such legislation is likely in the upcoming session. DiSanto says she's optimistic. |

Its the holiday season, and that means soon my favorite Christmas movie of all time will be playing nonstop on my television. To me, A Christmas Story never gets old. But I was struck by a thought recently: Ralphie could never be a Supreme Court justice.
Ralphie beat up Scott Farkus, after all. The fact that Farkus was a bully doesnt matter in these days of zero tolerance. Fighting back is not allowed. Plus, he enabled his friend, Flick, to suffer a tongue injury by not stopping him from licking a frozen flagpole. And then theres that whole obsession with the Red Ryder BB gun. |

As in other civil lawsuits, the NRA now has the ability to demand any documentation that might have bearing on the case. New York State can, and likely will, be ordered by the trial court to provide discovery material to the NRA legal team. Governor Cuomo has demonstrated a lack of accountability and hostility to the Constituion. His administration may be less than forthcoming with discovery.
Governor Cuomo has made a lot of enemies. It is hard to believe one or two of them would be above leaking documents the Governor would rather not be seen by NRA lawyers. |
Chief Justice Roberts is wrong. We do have Obama judges and Trump judges.

Even Roberts's fellow justices know there is a difference. If there were no Obama judges or Trump judges, then why did Anthony Kennedy wait for Trump's election to announce his retirement? And why doesn't Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg just retire now and let Trump nominate her replacement? Because they both want a president who would appoint a successor who shares their judicial philosophy. (And, lo and behold, Trump appointed a former Kennedy clerk, Brett Kavanaugh, to succeed him).
The American people know that Roberts is wrong. In the 2016 election, exit polls showed that 70 percent of voters said Supreme Court appointments were either the most important or an important factor in deciding their vote. |

We will not sit idly by while elitist anti-gun activists attempt to deny everyday Americans their fundamental right to self-defense, said Chris W. Cox, who heads the NRAs legislative lobbying arm.
Alan Gottlieb, founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, said gun-rights advocates were disappointed that residents got fooled into supporting the scheme.
While a handful of billionaires spending millions of dollars were able to buy votes, it is our hope they cant buy the judges, he said. Were determined to fight this egregious measure because constitutionally-protected rights should never be subject to a popularity vote. |

Watch out America, there is a brand new sanctuary city in our nation. But not the kind you normally hear about. The police chief of this rugged little community nestled within the magnificent Cascade Mountains in northern Washington State is not talking about providing sanctuary to illegal immigrants. According to the Seattle Times Eric Lacitis, this towns police chief has declared Republic, Washington a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary City. And he has proposed a city ordinance of that title. |
