The NRA, which for years influenced gun-owners votes with its grading system that rates candidates and incumbents by their commitment to their rights, introduced a new grade in Florida Fx for candidates endorsed by Everytown For Gun Safety, a gun control group bankrolled by former New York City Mayor and billionaire Michael Bloomberg, a longtime antagonist of the Constitutional right to bear arms.
Recipients of the NRAs new Fx grade include Nelson, Gillum and incumbent U.S. Rep. Ted Deutch. |

In recent years, several firearm manufacturers introduced several options in the all-new, non-NFA, shotshell-firing firearm market, but all of these options operated with a pump-action system that slowed the rate of fire and limited close-range utility on these guns. With the Black Aces Tactical Pro Series S Shockwave Semi, consumers now have an affordable, semi-automatic firearm allowing a more-rapid rate of fire combined with the short, overall length made possible by the Shockwave-style pistol grip. |

The .357 Magnum has always been a round that inspires confidence and Smith & Wessons Model 19 is a name that does the same. The two have been hand-in-hand since the mid 1950s and have very famous names associated with them, such as Elmer Keith and Bill Jordan. The Model 19 became the peace officers dream gun and it saw a long and storied history of use. Today we are going to take a look at S&Ws re-release of the historical gun in the form of the new Model 19 Classic. |

If you value your civil rights, then please vote no on I-1639.
I-1639 is an attack on every person who values their constitutionally guaranteed rights it taxes the right to own common firearms and illegally seizes rifles already owned by 18-to-20-year-old adults, who are responsible enough to serve in foreign wars and defend America with government issued weapons.
It is the worst kind of law aimed at our most law-abiding citizens, who have already undergone background checks. And it targets the victims of burglary with criminal charges if the thief uses a stolen firearm in a crime. |

It is quite interesting to note that within the past couple of years several handgun manufacturers have brought out revolvers chambered for the .44 Special. Of course, these are revolvers, several models of single action types, but also some double action wheel guns as well. So, why the .44 Special and why should you bother having one?
The .44 Special for certain is an old design, outdated, and mostly relegated to the collectors safes, right? Introduced in 1907 even before WWI, the .44 Special was originally a black powder load developed to replace the even older .44 Russian. Most probably recall the old .44 Special loaded in the famous Colt SAA or Single Action Army. |

Gun control activists also treat old but hip gun technology as if it is so new it cant be trusted in the hands of American citizens. For perspective, realize that semi-automatic designs were so popular with civilians a century ago that a 1907 magazine ad for the Savage Model 1907 read: Her propertyher little onesher own lifeshe knows are safely protected when she has a Savage Automatic in her home. She knows its ten sure shots are at her commandquick or slow, as she choosesone to each trigger pull. |

They have become shorthand for mass shootings, and for the predictable partisan gridlock that followed. But the midterm elections Tuesday could show a weakening of the gun lobbys grip on US politics, with Democrats in key districts openly campaigning on the issue of gun control, some Republicans in retreat, and the NRA hamstrung financially.
Already vulnerable Republicans in swing districts have distanced themselves from the National Rifle Association, downplaying their top ratings that long were a political boon. And the NRA has drastically cut back political spending this cycle, leaving openings for newly energized gun control groups to run emotional ads attacking Republicans over gun violence. |

Being armed or unarmed is, in many ways, a state of mind.
An armed person sees the world differently from a person who has decided to be unarmed. Nicolo Machiavelli, the famed author and political philosopher, states it well in The Prince:
Because there is nothing proportionate between the armed and the unarmed; and it is not reasonable that he who is armed should yield obedience willingly to him who is unarmed, or that the unarmed man should be secure among armed servants. Because, there being in the one disdain and in the other suspicion, it is not possible for them to work well together. |

After every high profile crime committed with a firearm of any sort, there are always calls for gun control. But one particular proposal this week managed to distinguish itself amid the usual din, if only for its audacity and what it reveals about the mindset of people who wish to disarm their fellow Americans.
In a lengthy article in Washington Monthly, private equity investor William V. Glastris, Jr. pitched a plan under which the federal government would obtain the means of handgun production, ban handgun importation, and target the current private handgun stock with a massive, nationwide buyback. The plans ultimate goal would be for the government to significantly lower the supplyand thereby raise the priceof handguns . |

Restrictions Boston and Brookline, Mass., place on licenses to carry guns in public are constitutional, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit held Nov. 2.
The ruling follows the current trend in the circuit courts of upholding restrictions on the Second Amendment right to bear arms.
Under the cities regulations, a license to carry a gun may only be issued if the applicant has a good reason to fear injury beyond the general public need for self defense.... |

In the last decade, gun control groups have tried to get more sophisticated with how they market their unpopular ideas. Some gun control advocates have gone so far as to partner with high-profile public relations firms to create messaging guides for their anti-gun allies. The overarching aim of these efforts is to obscure the gun control movements radical goals in order to appeal to a wider swath of the electorate.
A spate of hidden camera videos released by journalist James OKeefes Project Veritas shows that many anti-gun candidates are all too eager to carry out gun control organizations deceptive strategy. |
