A woman was asleep in her bed when she heard her husband's voice. She heard the sounds of a fight down the hall and her husband shout in pain. She rolled out of bed and grabbed the gun they keep between the mattresses. She moved toward the center of the house where she saw several men beating her husband. At least one of the intruders was armed. The armed man hit her husband with his gun, and then pointed the gun at her. The defending woman shot one of the attackers several times. All three intruders ran from the home and drove away. |

In 2012, one decade after Springfield Armory introduced its XD line of handguns, the company launched the XD-S, with the "S" in the model designation meaning "single-stack." This slim and compact version of Springfield's "eXtreme Duty" pistols set the standard for compact handguns firing a full-power cartridge. Initially offered in .45 ACP, it was groundbreaking for a firearm of its size in that chambering. |

With the current state of affairs around the country, the quest of readiness is or should be on everyones mind. I would challenge you to ask yourself, am I ready? It is a bit perplexing to me, that dedicated students continue to train, and agree that training is beneficial and should be done. But when the time comes to actually put some of that training or doctrine to use in a course that is reality based it would appear many have not kept up with taught skills since previous training sessions. In many cases those training sessions were literally months or even a year ago. |

When I used to hear people from states like Washington and Massachusetts say things like Well, yeah but it's legal here. No, no it is not. What you have in those states, and now New Jersey is a state government that is not willing to enforce federal law. An argument can be made that the same states that have legalized the use of skunk weed, by ignoring federal law, also ignore federal law in the way of ignoring the enumerated right of the Second Amendment. Many pro-green states also happen to be anti-civil rights.
Remember this fun fact, in a state that has legal use of Marijuana, a federal peace officer can still arrest and charge you with the crime of possession. |
