The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) says it is experiencing an "unpleasant situation" as social networking site Facebook has deleted the global body's page from its platform without any intimation. This has prompted the ISSF to start a campaign '#unblock_ISSF_facebook'.

Besides Twitter and Instagram, shooters from across the world rely on the ISSF Facebook page for updates from the sport's governing body. The page was created on January 14, 2010. "An unpleasant situation happened yesterday, and Facebook has deleted the ISSF page from the social network without reason or warning," shooting's apex body said in a statement on Thursday.

I met Beth Alcazar at SHOT Show 2017. The following month, I saw her again at a concealed carry fashion show I was emceeing in Cleveland. And Ive seen her at every GPRC since 2017 and even in Washington DC at a DC Project event. That isnt just how shes everywhere. She writes a blog for the USCCA called Pacifiers & Peacemakers, and she teaches the teachers for the USCCA as well. Shes also a board member of BamaCarry. Shes one of the busiest women in the gun community and I was able to catch up with her in Birmingham, AL, during the RSWC Southern Tour 2020. She did start off with some Southern Hospitality and a number of gifts from local businesses and trivia of Alabama.

The State of New Yorks laws make it a crime for a law-abiding individual to carry a loaded handgun outside of the home unless they have been issued a license to carry a handgun. Further, State law and City rules prevent individuals from obtaining a license because of further unconstitutional requirements, such as the proper cause requirement, among others. Working together, the State and City regulations amount to a total ban on carry for the average law-abiding period.

Muehlberger is now part of a federal lawsuit brought forward by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who is suing the Trump administration to crack down on these unregulated do-it-yourself kits, secured with no background check and providing the buyer all the parts needed to assemble a lethal firearm at home.

"Anyone can make them, anyone can carry them, anyone can fire them," Becerra said.

While California requires 'ghost gun' owners to apply for a serial number, most states do not.

This is the age of Covid. You meet a woman on a dating site. You agree to meet in the public area of her apartment complex late a night. Youre walking to her apartment when two men come out of the darkness. One of them has a rifle, and he points the gun at you. They demand your valuables.

Youre armed. You present your concealed firearm and shoot the armed attacker several times. Your gun jams, and you run away. You drive to a nearby gas station and call the police. The police find your attacker, and his accomplice, at the scene. They also find a toy rifle on the ground.

Yesterday, November 5th, LR-130 passed to ensure that your free exercise of the right to self-defense is protected equally across the whole state. For too long, local anti-gun bureaucrats have refused to recognize your freedom by instituting concealed carry restrictions beyond state law. Time and again, they usurp your rights in their quest to diminish your freedoms. LR-130 was put to the voters to end these constant obstructions.

The opposition, with backing from out-of-state interests, launched a campaign of misinformation. Montanans saw through their rhetoric and rightfully sided in favor of the Second Amendment when they went to the polls.

Biggest Loser: Establishment Media; Can It Ever Be Trusted Again?

The mainstream establishment mediawhich has rarely been sympathetic to gun owners or kind to the Second Amendmentlost any semblance of credibility with conservatives and especially gun owners with its coverage of the presidential election, according to social media reactions to a question posed 36 hours after the polls closed Nov. 3.

That loss is likely permanent. Heading into the weekend, media integrity seemed to be sliding even farther as major networks cut away from President Donald Trumps news conference, leaving many people even more convinced of a strong bias against the president that has existed since his stunning 2016 defeat of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Cawthorn cruised to victory in North Carolinas 11th Congressional District, which Democrats hoped would be more competitive following a court-ordered remapping that united all of Buncombe County with all of the states 16 westernmost counties and part of Rutherford County. He captured 54.5% of the vote, 12 percentage points and more than 50,000 votes ahead of Democratic opponent Moe Davis.

Even as the pandemic has plunged Washington into its worst recession in a generation, one local industry is experiencing a boom: gun sellers. DCs Metropolitan Police Department is on pace to register 25 percent more firearms in 2020 than it did the prior year. Shawn Poulin, owner of NOVA Armory, a gun store in Arlington, says that from the time the Covid crisis started to appear until early summer, sales quadrupled. And a region-wide run on ammunition has prompted another local dealer to limit the sale of bullets at its range to one box per customer. Ammunition is like toilet paper, Poulin says. People are stocking up.

The shelves are nearly bare at Garys Gun Shop in Sioux Falls.

And as you scour the store for a case of bullets to buy, youll likely hear someone comment how hard it is to find ammunition right now.

Youll be hard-pressed to find ammo in Sioux Falls at all.

Several stores in the city have reported increased sales in ammunition and firearms in 2020, depleting an already short supply during the coronavirus pandemic.

The concept of state preemption that is, a statute reserving all authority for setting gun laws in the hands of the legislature is going to be tested in a Washington State courtroom, thanks to a unanimous ruling by an Appeals Court panel.

The appeals court reversed and remanded a lower court decision to dismiss a 2018 lawsuit challenging a Seattle ordinance requiring firearms owners in the city to lock up their guns when not in use.

"One of my shops, we're about 200 percent above last year, another shop we're about 250 percent of last year, year over year," said Tobey Bouch, the owner of Tobey's Pawn Shop, said. "That's throughout the course of the year. It's not just one thing, it's everything kind of amplifying, it's been snowballing and snowballing."

Lessons Learned From the 2020 Election

As the dust fades from this election, some states are too close to call, and it looks like there will be litigation in those states. But it is not too late to see what Second Amendment supporters can learn from the results that are available, with more lessons to come from the litigated election contests.

What we do know: The Senate seems to be remaining in pro-Second Amendment hands, pending two runoff races in Georgia that will require a lot of work (plus a potential recount in Michigan) to keep out of the hands of anti-Second Amendment extremists, and the House of Representatives and state legislatures saw some improvement in a pro-Second Amendment direction.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
To have no proud monarch driving over me with his gilt coaches; nor his host of excise-men and tax-gatherers insulting and robbing me; but to be my own master, my own prince and sovereign, gloriously preserving my national dignity, and pursuing my true happiness; planting my vineyards, and eating their luscious fruits; and sowing my fields, and reaping the golden grain: and seeing millions of brothers all around me, equally free and happy as myself. This, sir, is what I long for. -- General Francis Marion, American War of Independence, Georgetown, SC [Source: 'Marion, The Life of Gen. Francis Marion' by M. L. Weems, Ch.18]
