Brady Campaign to Eradicate the Second Amendment issued the above-linked press release and gave it the following title: "Brady Campaign Outlines Results of Election 2002 for Gun Violence Prevention".
In their press release, they say: "Candidates who made gun violence prevention a campaign issue were victorious..."
REALITY CHECK...
The Bradys put lots of money and energy behind Kathleen Kennedy Townsend's bid for governor of Maryland. Thinking that one or two fools with a rifle taking sniper shots meant all the sheep would follow the gun control campers over a cliff, the Bradys pulled out all stops and campaigned hard for Townsend. And Kathy took their advice, idiotically bleating about more gun control in Maryland, where gun control has been proven a dismal failure -- and got her butt kicked by the man who said it's time to review gun laws for their effectiveness or lack thereof.
If that's Brady's idea of a victory, we wish them all the success in the world come next election cycle. |

PADUCAH - "The family of an autistic man restrained by a Paducah police officer in March is suing the city in U.S. District Court, seeking $5.8 million in damages."
