"But the evidence already shows that bodies were thrown into the pit, covered in fuel and burned along with tires, to mask the smell of burning flesh. More than 200 bullet marks were found along a wall bordering the mass grave." ... |

"The city of Marion, like much of the nation, has seen a spike in gun sales."

"The decision to own a gun is not to be taken lightly. We urge those shopping for firearms to think the matter through and remember that nothing with regard to federal law will change at noon Jan. 20. It is not a deadline to buy." |

"Regarding the piece by Christian Bringhurst about his students and deer hunting: it was an interesting read, but I was stopped short by his comment that it was a long time since he 'exercised his Second Amendment rights' by going hunting."
"This is a common misconception by those unfamiliar with American history. The Second Amendment has nothing to do with hunting. Its sole purpose (for those who still don't understand what the framers meant when they wrote it) is to guarantee the 'militia' (which, at the time it was written, meant the people, not the National Guard, as many mistakenly believe) the means to deal with an oppressive and tyrannical government." ... |

"Gun sales are up, and most gun dealers consider it bittersweet because they know that the risk of new gun control is very high. They might enjoy brisk sales, but not with the knowledge that more gun control will likely be coming down the pike. But one major gun shop/range owner in Virginia is swimming in the dough from increased sales and then giggles like a school girl when he admits that he supported Obama in the election." ... -------
