I love the Beretta 92, also known as the M9 in the U.S. military. The first gun I ever purchased was a 92G Elite II, and since that day, Ive loved this pistol family. For this review, Im going to assume you do, too. So, Im not going to go over the fact that its super reliable, super cool-looking, and possibly the most iconic traditional double-action gun ever.

Officials are looking for dozens of guns stolen from the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds early Sunday morning. I'm also from Turlock and I've never heard of something like this happening," said Turlock Police Department spokesperson Dominique Sanchez. Sanchez said the guns were part of the Turlock Gun Show that happened over the weekend. She said two unknown and armed suspects wearing ski masks and dark clothing robbed unarmed security guards at the county fairgrounds around 4:30 a.m. The robbery was called in by the security guards, who were hired by the gun show, according to Sanchez.

Hunter Biden pushed back Monday against gun charges filed against him, challenging the case on multiple fronts as unconstitutional and politically motivated days after he was hit with new tax charges. His defense attorney argued the gun case should be tossed out because an appeals court has found the law violates the Second Amendment under new standards set by the Supreme Court. Abbe Lowell also contended the charges against Hunter Biden violated immunity provisions that prosecutors agreed to in a plea deal they abandoned after Republicans slammed it as a sweetheart deal.

FN's motto for the past several years is "The World's Most Battle-Proven Firearms," and it has the lineage to prove it. Founded back in 1889 to make Mauser pattern rifles for the Belgian government, FN promptly out-Mausered Mauser and remained in that bolt-gun business with its in-house upgraded Model 24 and Model 30 as late as the 1960s. By that time, FN had the FAL in production and later superseded it with the FNC and today's SCAR all of which have seen combat around the world. Much like the way it took over where Mauser left off in the 1920s, FN jumped into the M16 biz in the early 1980s and out-Colted Colt, winning a $112 million contract to produce 266,961 M16s for the U.S. Army in 1988.

Whenever Bloomberg Businessweek writes about firearms or the Second Amendment its forced to disclose to readers that its owner is rabidly anti-gun. No one has spent more of their personal wealth to infringe upon the Second Amendment than former New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. |

New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) is pushing a ban on AR-15s and other semiautomatic rifles in an upcoming 30-day legislative session in her state.
The Santa Fe Reporter noted Grisham wants to do what Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) unsuccessfully attempted at the federal level. Heinrich, together with Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), put forward the Gas-Operated Semiautomatic Firearms Exclusion Act (GOSAFE), and it went nowhere. |

The lever-action rifle is both a symbol of American history and a working platform that continues to entice modern shooters. Thats because lever actions are reliable and downright fun to shoot, whether you are ringing steel at the range or hunting screaming bull elk in the dark timber. Cartridge selection for lever-action rifles has evolved with time. However, there are still two iconic cartridges that carry the day, and they have duked it out for more than a century: the .45-70 vs .30-30. Is one really better than the other? Well, that depends on who you ask.

Over many decades of shooting, one is bound to develop favorites. One of mine is a genre of firearms; pistol-cartridge rifles, carbines and revolvers. For this, my all-time favorite cartridges are the .32/.38/.44 Winchester Center Fires (WCF) originated by Winchester in the late 1800s. Lets start at .32 WCF (.32-20). Over the last few years, Ive developed a great fondness for .32-20 as both a carbine and revolver cartridge. They are soft shooters for arthritic hands. I landed five nice .32-20 SAAs in the last couple years then bought a couple Cimarron/Uberti Model 1873 replicas. One of my character flaws is never being satisfied with just one of anything!

Back in 2013 the first detailed scholarly analysis of knives and the Second Amendment was published in the University of Michigan Journal of Law Reform (vol. 47, pages 167-215). Authored by noted Second Amendment scholars David Kopel, Clayton Cramer, and Joe Olson, the paper makes the case for knives as arms protected by the Second Amendment, supporting one of Knife Rights foundational tenets.
