We dont want violent criminals with guns in our schools, but they go there to kill and get media attention anyway. The question isnt if violent murderers should exist. The question is how we should protect our students from them.
How long would you like us to wait until we stop the next mass murderer in school? How long should we wait until we treat the injured?
Fortunately, that is up to us. |

A raft of nine gun control-related bills championed by Gov. Phil Murphy successfully cleared the Assembly Judiciary and Appropriations Committees today, two weeks after Murphy and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-South Amboy) reached a deal to push the legislation through during the lame duck session. Among the most notable bills that advanced today were bills that would create safe gun storage requirements, ban .50 caliber weapons, require semi-automatic weapons to be micro-stamped and tracked in a database, tighten laws for obtaining and renewing firearm IDs, regulate the sale of handgun ammunition, and allow the attorney general to bring lawsuits against gun manufacturers.

Jerah Hutchins is always on the go. And shes doing so many good things to help people. Weve been friends on Facebook for a while and I reached out when I was heading to Dallas for AMMcon. I knew she lived in the area. Tony Simon (RSWC #041) said she is one of his favorite people. Thats a great recommendation so I knew I had to ask her to hop in the stagecoach.

For a time when I was a soldier, I flew helicopters as part of the Lead the Fleet program with the U.S. Army Aviation Test Activity. These were the most high-time aircraft in the inventory. Our mission was to rag these planes out mercilessly. If something was destined to fail, it should fail with us first at least this was the theory.

Governor Gavin Newsom is taking aim at gun manufacturers and sellers of assault weapons or ghost guns with a law that would allow private citizens to sue them for at least $10,000 per violation. It's in response to the U.S. Supreme Court ruling to uphold the Texas law that enables private citizens to sue abortion providers or anyone who assists a woman in getting an abortion after about six weeks of pregnancy.

Range bags are one of the few items that we often dont think about too often. While you could easily get away with owning just one or two range bags, I find that the more I shoot the more I like having a specific gun case for each of my firearms. That way I can keep specific firearms with their own ammunition, tools, magazines, and ammunition. This method has worked for me as it keeps all of my stuff organized both at home and at the range.

A buyback program, which aimed to abolish weapons before they can start tragedies, gathered San Franciscans wanting to free themselves from firearms on Saturday morning, KPIX reported. Theres a long line of cars, people who walk up, people who bring handguns and assault rifles, SF supervisor Matt Haney said. Its incredible how many guns there are out there and how many people actually want to get rid of them.

Welcome to todays Photo of the Day! Here we have an example of a Standard Arms Company Model G semi-automatic rifle. These rifles were an initial product for the Standard Arms Company in the early 1900s. This specific one is estimated to be manufactured somewhere in 1910. Along with the Model G, there was also a Model M which was a manual pump action. The Model M apparently worked fairly well for an early pump action, but the awful reputation of unreliability and the cumbersome nature of the semi-auto Model G made these guns a complete failure.

Sig Sauer recently announced a new limited edition P320 pistol variant, using the Alloy XSeries Grip metal grip module the P320 AXG Equinox. The new pistol, crafted by the Sig Custom Works, besides the AXG grip frame has an optics-ready Equinox series two-tone polished slide and nickel-plated controls, giving it a distinctive look. The special run uses a 3.9-inch barrel, which gives the pistol a 7.4-inch overall length. Weight is 31.3 ounces due to the heavier grip module over the P320's typical polymer frame. |

Compared to other categories, technical advancement within the realm of muzzleloading is fairly modest, and when something noteworthy comes along, it is bound to create controversy within this small but ardent shooting sport. Critics will invariably pronounce anything too new or too different, not a muzzleloader.

Heritage manufacturing makes some of my favorite fun guns. Why exactly? Well, they make 22 LR weapons that are light, handy, reliable, and fun to shoot. The Heritage Rough Rider is one of the foundational handguns for new shooters, and the Rough Rider is Hertiages flagship firearm. Oh, did I mention Heritage also makes affordable firearms? If something is fun and cheap you cant go wrong with it. Heritage Manufacturing recently broke into an entirely new realm for them with the Rancher Carbine. |

When the woman in the yellow tank-top approaches you, you draw a deep breath. Give me your wallet, she barks. When her shirtless companion makes the same demand, you instinctively begin to reach for the pistol holstered on your right hip. As you begin to draw it from the holster, theres some resistance. Aside from the technical reasons the tension keeps it from shifting or falling out it also helps to ensure that youre ready to take this step to protect yourself.

Holland & Holland, a firearms company from England, developed the .375 H&H Magnum in 1912 a cartridge that would eventually come to be called the Queen of the Medium Bores. The .375 H&H Mag was specifically designed for hunting big game in Africa, and it was successful. The cartridge is sufficient to harvest any large game animal on the continent, including the Big Five species. Although it's been around for over 100 years, it still warrants respect, and is often chosen by both professional hunters and sportsmen. The .375 is the base of Holland & Holland's most popular cartridge, the .300 H&H Magnum. |
