If youve been reading my stories for more than 10 minutes, you know Im a huge proponent of the K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple, Stupid) principle. Ill gladly insert myself as the Stupid there because Ive managed to do almost everything wrong in real-world situations but yet Im still here, a bit wiser and far more cautious. |

Washington would ban assault weapons, require a permit to buy a gun and make gun sellers potentially liable for negligent sales under legislative proposals announced Monday by Gov. Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson.
Standing with gun-violence survivors and Democratic legislators at a news conference in Tukwila, Inslee and Ferguson pushed for aggressive action to build on a string of previous Washington laws that have expanded background checks, required safe storage and banned the sale of high-capacity magazines.

When it comes to varmint hunting, there are few rounds that can compete with the popularity and success of the 223 Remington. Since its release in 1964 and adoption by the US military, the 223 Rem has been nigh untouchable as the go-to option for plinking, long range target shooting, and varmint hunting.

It is the position of Operation Blazing Sword Pink Pistols that the recently-passed Oregon Ballot Measure 114 imposes a burdensome permit to purchase scheme upon all citizens, including marginalized and at-risk groups such as queer people. Much like North Carolinas Pistol Purchase Permit, a Jim Crow-era law which uses subjective criteria to deny black people the ability to own a handgun for protection, Measure 114 fails to clearly define what does and does not disqualify applicants. |

The holiday season is already starting to bring in an absolutely crazy amount of snow into some of the most northern regions of our country. While down here in the mid-south were simply dealing with a lot of moisture and cold, the point still stands that the winter months often make it extremely difficult for a lot of us to make it to the range before the sun sets.

Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee on Monday morning said he plans to ask next years state Legislature to pass a permit-to-purchase law requiring prospective gun buyers to apply directly to a state or local law enforcement agency to obtain a purchase permit prior to approaching any seller. Such a law would allow law enforcement officials to take more time in conducting background checks and also make firearms training a requirement for getting the permit.

A Gun Owner of America (GOA) Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request has turned up documents that show the use of the NICS-Index-Self-Submission Form goes beyond just the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
In 2019, AmmoLand News published a secret FBI document that allowed American citizens to sign away their Constitutionally protected gun rights. At the time, it was believed that only mental health professionals and the FBI were using the form. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Some of the worst abuses of government force in recent years were precipitated by technical and victimless gun-law violations. For example, the BATF claimed that the Branch Davidians possessed machine guns without paying the required federal tax and filling in the proper registration forms. So a tax case worth less than $10,000 led to a 76-man helicopter, machine gun, and grenade assault on a home in which 2/3 of the occupants were women and children. Dave Kopel and Dr. Michael S.
