Its not every day you happen to have two 14+1 12-gauge bullpup shotguns sharing space in the same gun safe. But, as luck would have it, I got to play host to both a Smith & Wesson M&P 12 and a KelTec KSG recently. So, naturally, I had to throw them into a face-off this summer to see how they compare. Heres what I took away after testing these guns for several months side by side. |

Looking for a unique shotgun for home defense? Consider getting yourself a bullpup shotgun! These action-packed shotguns are compact, carry a good capacity, and are easy to maneuver in tight quarters, making them ideal for home defense/tactical purposes. Sure, you can use any shotgun for home defense, but the longer barrel on your upland hunting 12-gauge wont be as easy to clear the room with as a bullpup would be. Weve listed the best bullpup shotguns and made it easy to get yours right at Guns.com. (And dont forget to grab some extra magazines while youre shopping!) |

This week, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order denying a rehearing in the case of Barnett v. Raoul, which is actually a consolidation of four separate 2A cases challenging aspects of Illinois gun laws, including PICA. As the order notes, every judge in the Circuit passed on granting a hearing on the case despite significant questions about the constitutionality of the regulations at issue. |

We know the mainstream media isnt going to celebrate heroes for our Second Amendment freedom. And we know these heroes need to be celebrated; after all, they represent an ideal that helps others, by comparison, do more for the freedom that has given them (and all of us) so much. |

Gun rights groups are challenging a pair of Vermont laws that ban "high-capacity" magazines and set a 72-hour waiting period to purchase firearms. In a lawsuit filed Monday in U.S. District Court, the Vermont Federation of Sportsmens Clubs argues that the state laws violate gun owners Second Amendment rights and ask a federal judge to grant an injunction blocking the state from enforcing the restrictions. |

Apparently in New Mexico, it is acceptable to break gun control laws if the actions of the organizations benefit Governor Lujans plan to disarm New Mexicans. Recently, an organization called New Mexicans Against Gun Violence (NMPGV) violated New Mexico law by going door to door in Farmington and asked residents to volunteer to relinquish ownership of their firearms in exchange for gift cards.

As we wrote earlier this year, New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (D) like many elected Democrats has shown that she has few scruples against infringing on the rights of law-abiding gun owners, as well as overlooking her own oath of office, if it means the possibility of advancing a radical gun-control agenda. No constitutional right, in my view, including my oath, is intended to be absolute, she memorably replied when a reporter challenged her public health emergency- based gun ban. |

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) is demanding the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) detail the impact of its policies to address the proliferation of Mexican cartel arms trafficking networks operating in the United States. ATF must provide answers concerning Operation Southbound and its overall firearms trafficking prevention strategy to target the leadership and structure of the criminal networks trafficking firearms from the U.S. to cartels in Mexico, Grassley wrote in a letter to ATF. [T]he American people deserve to know why the ATF has chosen to defund Project Thor and use its resources to target [federal firearms license holders] and individual law-abiding gun owners. |

A three-judge panel in the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has vacated the New York law banning the carry of firearms in church, citing the First Amendment. After the June 22, 2022, publishing of the Bruen decision on the Second Amendment, several states took active measures to defy the Supreme Court. The foremost of these was New York. Governor Kathy Hochul took the extreme measure of convening an extraordinary session dedicated to circumventing the Bruen decision, which she called reckless and reprehensible. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
You are bound to meet misfortune if you are unarmed because, among other reasons, people despise you....There is simply no comparison between a man who is armed and one who is not. It is unreasonable to expect that an armed man should obey one who is unarmed, or that an unarmed man should remain safe and secure when his servants are armed. In the latter case, there will be suspicion on the one hand and contempt on the other, making cooperation impossible. Niccolo Machiavelli in "The Prince." |
