Were nearing the conclusion of a year thats seen roughly one mass shooting per day in the United States, and all kinds of theories have been dragged out to explain their frequency. Its the precarious state of mental-health treatment. Its the violence of video games, television, and movies. Its the huge number of guns something like 300 million floating around. Its gun shows and lax regulations. |

The idea is to let police departments use those weapons or make a little money off of them by selling them. But not everyone thinks letting those guns back out on the streets is a good idea. |

Her two shoes lay strewn across the grass where they were blown off her feet, a police officer noted in his report. Debras mother, Dana, says she was working at the assisted living home nearby.
