I grew up in a no-gun household. Im not sure that was intentionalwe just never had them. Sure, I shot .22 rifles at summer camp and loved that, but at home, my firearm arsenal consisted of a Daisy Red Ryder. That was the status quo into my adult years. I never had any thought of owning guns.

Surveillance video shows a group of muggers punching, kicking and stomping on a 60-year-old man in New York City early Tuesday, in an attack that left the victim critically injured.
The suspects, who remained at large early Wednesday, got only one dollar from the victim, city police officials said.
Submitter's note: This is what you get when you prohibit armed self defense for 99.9 percent of the population. The thugs know that they can attack most citizens without any consequences. |

A gunman looking to rob a cellphone store in Eastpointe on Christmas Eve got more than he bargained before when an employee pulled out his own gun and and fired the weapon, according to police.
Police do not believe the robber was struck by the gunfire, Eastpointe police said in a Facebook post late Tuesday.
Police said the incident took place about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Cricket Wireless store at 20808 Gratiot Avenue at Eight Mile Road.
A preliminary investigation shows the gunman walked into the store and robbed a worker who was on duty. The worker was armed and fired a shot at the robber.
Investigators say it does not appear the robber was struck by the gunfire. |

The open tip match bullet (OTM) is primarily used as a target shooting ammo, hence the word match but what is match ammo? There seems to be a massive debate about this particular term (OTM), because it comes across as a hollow point when it's technically not, and it can cause some confusion. The military can use it because its technically not a hollow point, but some hunters cant because it is a hollow point. This is probably the most controversial term of any bullet currently in use today.

With anti-Second Amendment extremists pursuing their agenda outside the legislative and political arenas, Second Amendment supporters need to be ready to do battle just about anywhere. When they push corporate gun control, this means that where you work could be where you will find yourself defending the Second Amendment.

At about 2:30 in the morning of 28 June, 2014, Michael Hicks was at a convenience store in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Hicks had a valid concealed carry permit, and had a handgun in an outside the waistband holster, concealed by his shirt. Open carry is generally legal in Pennsylvania, but it is not legal to open carry in a vehicle. This limits the practicality of open carry on a regular basis. |

Some fairly significant changes are being proposed for Region 2 hunting districts in Montana, which could make it more difficult for hunters to harvest elk. The Spotted Dog Wildlife Management Area could go back to elk antlerless permits because the congestion was pretty severe in hunting district 215, according to Mike Thompson, the Fish, Wildlife and Parks Region 2 wildlife manager.
