"A lot of people are making their way through airports during this holiday season."

"And it appears changes are on the way for airline travelers going through airport security."

"Sources at the Transportation Security Administration confirm they're changing the way they conduct pat-downs. Some women have complained bitterly recently that the more thorough pat-downs to check for explosives just went to far - especially in the breast area."

"Federal News Radio AM 1050/WTOP has learned the examination in that area, and possibly other areas, will be tempered."

"Under normal circumstances, if a strange man tried to stick his hands down my pants, one of us would end up lying on the ground bleeding. But we have entered into a world of the surreal - a world where millions of otherwise intelligent Americans are willing to stand in line and wait their turn to be groped by a complete stranger."

"I'm not exactly sure how it happened. But, I certainly seem to have done something to get myself on the airlines 'bad boy' list. Every time I set foot in an airport these days, I get dragged off for one of their 'random' special searches - three times in a row during a recent trip."

"A recent San Francisco Chronicle article is the perfect case study for those interested in understanding the goals and methods of gun controllers, which we will elucidate by examining four excerpts." ...

"Why trust people who lie to justify their stated goals, especially when gun control is consistently shown not to result in the stated goals of increased security and reduced crime?"

"Gun control advocates in San Francisco have finally exposed the truth: its not about 'safety' or 'violence prevention,' but about banning guns and controlling you."

"Its not often that libertarians are enough of a threat to anyone elses interests that they generate protests. But that is what has been happening in New Hampshire lately. In June, 200 residents showed up at a heated town meeting in tiny Grafton township to challenge a trio of libertarian activists they feared were trying to conquer their community. Less than a week later, a squad of protesters picketed a fund-raising dinner in Plymouth, featuring Republican Governor Craig Benson, sponsored by the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance."

"Both protests were triggered by the Free State Project, or FSP, a recently hatched plan for libertarians to roll back the government of New Hampshire and thus create a flagship for a freer America."

"...Quicke got his gun from the other room."

"Quicke ran out to his second story deck, and that's when he heard the change jangling in the dark. He fired twice, and knew his aim had been good when he heard the man scream out. The man dropped Quicke's shotgun in the front yard, but kept going. Quicke called 911." ...

"Quicke said detectives told him that they hadn't arrested the man yet because they were still gathering evidence. Quicke said he fears that before they do, the robber will show up at his house again."

"...Time and again, when told that publishing lists of gun owners (CHL-holders) would provide criminals lists of homes from which to steal guns, the media (led in many ways by Cleveland Plain Dealer editor Doug Clifton) responded by saying that criminals just weren't smart enough to utilize the newspaper to premeditate their crimes or select their targets."

"The Akron Beacon Journal has called it a 'flimsy presumption', and Gannett News Columbus Bureau Chief Jim Siegel said warnings about the dangers of publishing the list of CHL-holders 'elevate these criminals to a level of sophistication they very likely do not possess...' Even Attorney General Jim Petro called such a scenario 'unlikely'."

To say that Price is just a gun maker is to suggest that Robert Frost was just another poet and the Rembrandt was just another painter. The official publication of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association (NMLRA) is Muzzle Blasts. The covers of the February 1998 issue and May 2004 are graced with Price rifles."

"...Hollywood and the Internet are not created to be "high-tech babysitters". They are not there to provide a nanny service to irresponsible, and un-intrested parents." ...

"But basically that's the attitude in America today. The 'society made me do it' mentality is getting much praise, support, and fan-fair and teaches that you do not have to accept responsability or accountability for your actions, as long as you can find a scape-goat to blame. And the Liberals are only too happy to promote that theory and philosophy as they, themselves love to play "The Blame Game'."

"The Journal Gazette has done it again. By 'it' I mean unwarranted fear-mongering. ..."

"Like Chicken Little who warned that 'the sky is falling,' the editorial suggests we should all be afraid very afraid of the concept of a nationalized drivers license. The editorials rarely cite any specific harm that we should fear they just play the 'privacy' card over and over."

"I cant understand The Journal Gazettes unwarranted fear about privacy. After all, nearly every one of the 9/11 terrorists were here in this country because of weaknesses in our nations immigration databases and procedures. The result? Thousands of people were killed."

"Those buying into the gun control movement have very sadly come to experience the realities of being unarmed and defenseless the District of Columbia and the United Kingdom most recently. They are rethinking their position of banning guns, with renewed debates and bills introduced to permit private ownership of firearms once again. The D.C. bill's sponsors realized that an unarmed citizenry is at the mercy of criminals. The U.K., also experiencing a horrific rise in violent crime since banning guns, is revisiting being gun-free. Similar gun-free countries Australia, South Africa, the Philippines are experiencing a tragic rise in crime."

"I want all those people out there that are against gun shows and guns in general to understand that the unfortunate mishap at the gun show Dec. 18 was the action of one person. In order for that gun to go off he had to intentionally pull the trigger. Anyone who has anything to do with guns knows that you treat every gun as if it were loaded. You do not handle any gun unless you first assure that it is not loaded by opening the action and visually seeing that there is no round in the chamber. ...He should have never pulled the trigger."

"...please don't let the action of this individual affect your opinion of all gun owners or people who attend gun shows. ..."

"Do you remember that we showed Innocents Betrayed at the first politically conservative, pro-rights film festival, the American Film Renaissance (AFR), last September?"

"We reported to you about the hostile and dismissive reviews that Innocents Betrayed received from the Leftist press, so that you could see how the attackers could only smear but not rebut the message." ...

"Now, three (3) months later, a so-called conservative, right wing publication, National Review, has finally printed a 'review' of the AFR." ...

"The reviewer paid Innocents Betrayed a backhanded compliment by observing that the film is of the quality that is routinely shown on the History Channel. That's exactly the quality level we attempted to achieve -- network, non-fiction, documentary quality with irrefutable facts. And we achieved that quality on a tiny budget contributed by private individuals and small organizations."

"The reviewer was unable to attack any of the factual statements or conclusions that Innocents Betrayed leads the reader to understand. Just like the Leftist reviewers, this National Review writer couldn't attack the film on its merits. That's another compliment."

"The reviewer made a special point of sneaking in some anti-Semitism into his review. The film was produced by JPFO, he notes and then adds: 'Make of that what you will.' "

"It appears the use of common sense is starting to take place regarding a new state law that would allow guns to be kept in workers locked vehicles."

"The law was supposed to go into effect this fall, but a lawsuit filed by two companies has put it on hold. Now, an Ardmore state representative is drafting a measure that would eliminate legal liability for businesses and employees should a gun be used or stolen at a work site."

"The new law would allow workers to keep guns in their vehicles at work. Many companies have rules that prevent workers from bringing guns on to company property, including parking lots." ...

"There are too many unknowns about how the new law would affect a business should a gun be stolen from a vehicle or a gun discharged from a workers vehicle in a parking lot. Businesses are right to be concerned about their legal liability if that should happen."

"Those differences were on display Dec. 8, when Kilgore and Kaine crossed swords in a joint appearance before state reporters and editors in Richmond. Kilgore vowed to remind voters that Kaine objects to capital punishment and 'actually represented death row inmates' as an attorney. He also questioned Kaine's commitment to gun rights and accused him of opposing a ban on 'partial-birth' abortions, charges Kaine adamantly disputed."

"...First let me say that any police office worth his or her salt would make every attempt he or she could to protect you. Many have been killed in the line of duty doing just that. However they can't be everywhere at once and will most likely not be able to get to you in time to save you. Here in our county a 20 minute response time in an emergency is fast. If you have ever been in a shoot out that is a very long time. That's just a fact of life."

"...the police have no affirmative duty to protect anyone. ...I know of at least 12 cases, some before the Supreme Court, that affirm my statement. They make it very clear that you and you alone are the one responsible for your protection."

"For more than 75 years, the Siuslaw Rod and Gun Club has offered its members a serene place to blast away at sand dunes and clay targets with shotguns, rifles and pistols on a 43-acre parcel that once sat far outside the northern edge of town."

"But Florence's inevitable growth crept slowly toward the club, most noticeably in 1989, with the arrival of Florentine Estates, now a 180-acre retirement community due south of the gun club."

"It wasn't long before club president Fred Ross started hearing complaints about gunfire. ...Marked only by a small sign east of the club's entrance and the gateway to Florentine, many residents weren't aware they'd moved in next to a shooting range. ..."
