Supporters of President Donald Trump are reportedly planning a demonstration in the nations capital on Jan. 6, according to WAMU News, and related rallies are apparently planned at state capitols according to one message circulating on social media.
Over the holiday weekend, President Trump sent a tweet about the protest, encouraging people to attend. In his message, the president declared, Statistically impossible to have lost the 2020 Election. Big protest in DC on January 6th. Be there, will be wild! Apparently, Congresswoman-elect Marjorie Taylor Greene is planning to object to the allegedly fraudulent electoral votes. By then, Taylor Greene will have been sworn into office.

Volumes have been written about great handguns, and its truly hard to whittle the long list of pistol designs dating back well over a century to just ten. One caveat for this particular roundup is that the listed guns have to remain available as a production firearm today, so if you want one you can go buy it (provided, of course, post-COVID supply eventually meets demand). Still, its tough to grade some gun designs against each other and assign a value to the great guns of the past. |

There is no shortage of reasons why big-game hunters might take to the field with a handgun, however, the challenge of getting close usually tops the list. Other drives can include that a smaller, more compact, and usually lighter arm delivers less recoil to the shoulder than a rifle would. Whatever the motive, theres much appeal to hunting large species with a handgun. |

In an unusual twist of electoral fate, not one but both of Georgias sitting Republican United States senators face Democrat challengers in a runoff election scheduled for Jan. 5, 2021, just two days after the 117th Congress will have been seated. The Second Amendment does not by name appear on the Georgia ballot, but it might as well. If both incumbent senators David Perdue and Kelley Loeffler are defeated next month, the new Senate will be evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats, which means that two weeks later, on Jan. 20 when Joe Biden is sworn in as the 46th president of the United States, his newly installed vice president, Kamala Harris, becomes the tie-breaking, de facto 101st senator.

Will Rogers once said, You never get a second chance to make a first impression. But that may not be the case with Kimbers top-notch series of Rapide fullsize M1911 pistols. Launched in 2019, the first version of the Rapide featured a golden-hued, titanium nitride-coated barrel that contrasts nicely with the slide and frames matte-black finish. Its a handsome handgun that has sold well for the company. |

So, ATF has backed off from its efforts to put your AR-15 pistols under the National Firearms Act. Thats a good start, but it is only a start, and its important to follow up that victory with two more in the Georgia runoff elections. Because if we can hold those two Senate seats, our ability to hold the line on our freedoms will be increased. |

A recent proposal by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), an independent bureau within the U.S. Department of the Treasury, would work to ensure fair treatment in lending and access to other financial services for American businesses. This is of particular importance to the Second Amendment, as manufacturers, companies and retailers in the shooting sports industries have and still are experiencing discrimination in getting these services from financial institutions. |

The Nevada Legislative Commission will be meeting to vote on a regulation impacting public employees with concealed carry permits (CCW). Under current law, public employees who have a CCW and are not prohibited from carrying a firearm at work, are allowed to do so. This regulation would require a public employee who is carrying at work, to notify the appointing authority or designee, that they will be carrying a firearm, or face disciplinary action. |

Missouri-based CMMG this month announced what is billed as the company's shortest and most compact Banshee model ever, the .22LR End Cap. Chambered in the popular rimfire staple, the new blow-back action Banshee deletes the buffer tube and receiver extension common on AR-type pistols and replaces it instead with a capped lower receiver. This produces a smaller format gun than most .22LR AR15 builds on the market-- as short as 14.7 inches in the 4.5-inch barrel model. CMMG says the .22LR End Cap is compatible with all of the company's .22LR AR Conversion Kits, as well as any AR15 that uses a dedicated CMMG .22LR bolt carrier group and barrel.

Since it's large enough to successfully kill at a range of 50 yards or more when used in a 12 gauge shell, #5 lead shot is a very popular and widely used load for pheasant and duck hunting around the world. The number of pellets in the shot can cover a nice 10- to 15-inch diameter of kill zone at this range (after patterning), and penetrates up to twice as much as steel shot of the same size.
