A family disturbance on the west side of the valley ended in a deadly shooting. It happened Tuesday night on Spur Court, near Alta Drive and Buffalo Drive.

Police say it appears the son in this incident was acting in self defense when he allegedly shot and killed his father.

This all started around 6 p.m. Tuesday night.

Police say the father attacked the son and took off.

The National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action is pleased to announce the filing of NRA-backed legislation, Senate Bill 24, in Arkansas. This important piece of legislation would eliminate the duty to retreat for victims of a crime if passed, a victim who is attacked will no longer be required by law to try and run away.

Laws should favor victims not criminals, as they do now. When crimes occur, victims have little time to decide the best course of action for survival. They should not be required to run away or face prosecution for defending themselves, said Matt Herriman, NRA Arkansas state director.

This proposition should never be controversial, but liberals like Gov. Mike DeWine who side with the criminals are offended by the concept of self-defense.

Just before Christmas, the Republican-dominated state legislature made Ohio the 36th stand-your-ground state by removing the requirement that one be in their home or car in order to use deadly force against imminent danger of death or great bodily harm. The bill, SB 175, passed the Senate 18-11 and the House 52-31.

Vincent isnt alone in her quest to own a gun again.

At least three others are petitioning the U.S. Supreme Court to hear their cases. One of them, Torres v. U.S., references a Utah law that makes it a felony for making an illicit recording in a movie theater on the second offense.

The high court has not agreed to take on those arguments, but the issue is of keen interest to newly appointed Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

In a dissenting opinion in a 7th Circuit Court of Appeals case, Barrett concluded that only people convicted of dangerous felonies should lose their right to keep and bear arms. She traced the history of the Second Amendment and the punishing of convicted felons to colonial times.

It was a short but important visit for Senator Kelly Loeffler in Savannah on Wednesday.

You know, Georgia has red clay not blue clay, said Senator Kelly Loeffler while addressing the crowd.

In the roughly ten minutes she spent addressing the crowd, she covered a wide range of topics from school choice to the second amendment.

After addressing the crowd, the Senator took time to talk about some more current issues including President Trumps recent tweets directly calling out Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger over the handling of the elections.

The president is frustrated, Im frustrated, the governor is frustrated, said Senator Loeffler.

Mossberg, a well-known name for shotguns, moved into the semi-automatic pistol market last year with the MC1sc, a subcompact 9 mm. The MC1sc was a hit with concealed carriers, and a hard act to follow, but Mossberg has nonetheless one-upped themselves with the MC2c, a sharp-looking, compact, striker-fired 9 mm boasting some very thoughtful design details.

In 1996, when Louis Imperato and his son, Anthony Imperato founded Henry Repeating Arms to honor the Legacy of Benjamin Tyler Henry. Their goal, like that of Mr. Henry, was to produce quality lever-action rifles Made in America and Priced Right.

Henry Repeating Arms takes its name from Benjamin Tyler Henry, the inventor who patented the first repeating rifle in 1860, known as the Henry rifle. There is no affiliation or lineage to Benjamin Tyler Henry or to the New Haven Arms Company, who sold the original Henry rifle from 1862 to 1864. Anthony Imperato secured the trademark to the Henry name in 1996.

Murders have skyrocketed this year, as local governments have become softer on crime. In the 57 major cities for which data is available, the murder rate is up an average of 36.7%. Murder went up in 51 cities, and down in only six cities. Murder is up 74.1% in Seattle, 72.3% in Minneapolis, 55.5% in Chicago, 54.1% in Boston, 39.2% in New York, 34.5% in St. Louis, and 30.4% in Los Angeles.

This huge rise in murder occurred as progressive prosecutors became softer on crime, parole became available to more murderers, and the death penalty stopped being used in most states.

The Second Amendment is one of the most frequently cited provisions in the American Constitution, but also one of the most poorly understood.

The 27 words that constitute the Second Amendment seem to baffle modern Americans on both the left and right.

Credit card companies began to deny service to people buying products leftists dislike, especially guns. In places in which leftists ran gun-sellers out of town, that made it impossible for residents to use the internet for their Second Amendment rights.

Glenn Greenwald, who values freedom and foolishly thought leftism was that path to freedom, understands this, which is why he wrote that "The Threat of Authoritarianism in the U.S. Is Very Real, and Has Nothing to Do with Trump." Instead, the real threat comes from "a few corporate monopolies."

Theyre coming after Kyle Rittenhouse now and theyre gonna come after you next, warns John Pierce, attorney to Kyle Rittenhouse, as he and Kyles mom, Wendy Rittenhouse, joining Alex Jones via Skype. If this is not self-defense for Kyle Rittenhouse, there is no right to self-defense.

Jones described as persecution the refusal of online marketplaces to host Kyles merch. Washington Post has described these items as being emblazoned with the Free Kyle logo, and Self-defense is a right, not a privilege, a quote attributed to the underaged shooter.
