Here are four new stories of armed defense. Were these gun owners lucky, or were they well trained?
Sometimes these defenders had to press the trigger, and sometimes they defended themselves without firing a shot. What should we do if we were in their place?

Police said a man was shot and killed by a concealed carry license holder in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood after the offender threatened him with a firearm.
The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. this morning in the 2700 block of W 65th Street in Chicago's Lawn neighborhood on the city's southwest side.
Authorities said that a 37-year-old male victim was in an alley this morning when he got involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown male offender in a vehicle.
The offender in the vehicle produced a firearm at which time the 37-year-old drew his own firearm and fired shots at the offender. |

Sen. Murphy tried to bypass regular order, normally consisting of a committee hearing and markup, and instead offered a unanimous consent request to pass H.R. 8. Under unanimous consent, the Senate can pass legislation without any debate or a recorded vote. Fortunately for law-abiding gun owners, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), the Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, objected to Sen. Murphys unanimous consent requesteffectively blocking H.R. 8 from moving forward. |

The other thing they will do is block a lot of anti-Second Amendment legislation via a numbers game and control of the committees in the House and Senate. Now, given pro-Second Amendment legislation will not be signed into law by Biden and getting the veto-proof majorities will be highly unlikely, but just blocking anti-Second Amendment legislation at the federal level will protect our rights, especially in a post-NYSRPA v. Bruen world. |

Texas is the only state that allows the use of deadly force to protect property but that doesnt mean that its ever a good idea to do so.
A Camp County man heard some noise outside his home about 4:40 AM and upon investigation saw a man trying to break into his shed. He got his shotgun and went to confront the would-be burglar.
According to the Camp County Sheriff, He shot the intruder. However, the man got up and they then struggled for the gun. The suspect was shot again before he managed to take the gun and flee. via KLTV
The suspect was later found at a local hospital. |

Perrys attorneys say the shooting was a clear case of self-defense and have expressed serious concerns with how the case has been handled by Garzas office.
"Garrett Foster either intentionally or accidentally pointed his rifle at Daniel Perrys head and Daniel Perry fired in self-defense," Perry attorney Doug OConnell told Fox News Digital. "And as a practical matter he had no ability to retreat nor was he required to."
"You have the right to defend yourself in a crowd and you feel like youre in imminent danger of being shot," Broden added. |

Absurd and useless. Those are the words I wouldve used to describe ankle holstersbefore I started rocking one. If you are inexperienced with them, you probably imagine having to drop to your strong-side knee, pulling up your pant cuff and drawing the pistol. That doesnt sound terribly efficient and its difficult to envision many scenarios where youd have that kind of leisure.
In point of fact, though, an ankle holster is very often the best way to carry in a variety of scenarios, particularly those in which youd be seated. |

We can put this more simply. Baldwin held the gun when it fired. Bullets do not spontaneously fire on their own. Ergo, whatever caused the bullet to fire had to be caused by Baldwin in some way. And regardless of whether one thinks a firearm has a live round in it or not, its gross negligence to point a working firearm at any person ever unless its in self-defense or legal defense of another. Period.
Well certainly know more at the trial, whether its civil, criminal, or both. Thats probably when Baldwin should have waited to lay out this series of claims too. |

The tragic school shooting in Michigan this week brought out predictable attacks from the left on the Second Amendment and legal use and possession of guns.
A reporter addressed a question to the sheriff in charge of the investigation as to whether more gun legislation should be enacted. The sheriff correctly answered that theres more than enough legislation in place, but the liberal district attorneys wont prosecute properly.
Its not the gun, its the perpetrator. Legal, sane gun owning citizens dont commit horrendous crimes with their guns. Criminals and mentally ill people do. |

AG-Elect Miyares mentioned that he wanted to further implement crime prevention such as Project Exile, a program championed by the National Rifle Association in the 90s and launched in Richmond, VA when the city had one of the highest homicide rates in the nation.
Project Exile was simple; if you are arrested committing a crime while possessing a firearm, you dont deserve to remain in the community. Project Exile added a minimum of five years to your sentence if you were convicted. Following the implementation of this program, Richmonds overall crime rate plummeted. |

The first inkling that New Mexico Rep. Pamelya Herndon (D) had that a fatal school shooting had just unfolded near her Albuquerque field office came as helicopters hovered overhead and police shouted from loud speakers that everyone in the area should take shelter.
Within days she learned that the 13-year-old boy who took the life of another 13-year-old boy in August had used his fathers gun which prosecutors say was kept unsecured in the family home.
In response, Herndon began work on a bill that would require gun owners to keep their weapons locked up or face criminal charges if a child takes the firearm and uses it in the commission of a crime. |

It would not have affected previously issued carry permits, and would have allowed citizens who still wish to obtain a permit in order to carry in other states recognizing Pennsylvania permits, to do so. Twenty-one states currently have permitless carry.
As we enjoy the final days of 2021 and roll into an important new year, this weeks action underscores the importance of having a pro-Second Amendment Governor in the Keystone State. This was an important step forward, clearing the Legislature and refining bill language. This will be helpful when we reengage on this issue after Pennsylvanians elect a pro-Second Amendment Governor. |

But this idea doesnt sit well with Anti-Second Amendment proponents:
Gun rights are not human rights.
So says democracy and human rights advocate, Rukmani Bhatia who had served in the Obama Administration.
Her assertion is posited not as a thesis to be proved but as an assumption to be accepted as self-evident, true, notwithstanding the plain meaning of the Second Amendment and the High Courts rulings in Heller.

The men and women who run Silicon Valley could not have been clearer on where they stood. They were relentless in their campaign to derail Rittenhouses trial, undermine his constitutional rights, and permanently defame his character.
The shift in Big Techs values is as marked as it is troubling. In a few short years, a handful of innovative American companies that loved this country and valued their customers has morphed into a corporate oligarchy that loathes the notion of American sovereignty, colludes with foreign powers, despises at least half of the citizenryand actively works to destroy teenage boys. |

Concealed carriers speak much about their EDC (everyday carry) gear and this often revolves around the gun of preference for defensive use. Along with the carry gun individuals often tote a reload for their pistol, an edged weapon, perhaps a less-lethal tool, and perhaps medical gear. These are items that prepared people choose to carry along with other items that almost all contemporary citizens carry daily which typically include keys, a wallet or purse, and, certainly, a smartphone. The phone, which is the most often used device in the modern humans daily carry, is an item used to stay in contact with friends and family, take pictures, and browse the internet. |
