The 243 Winchester and 6mm Remington are two 6mm rifle cartridges that are extremely versatile, as they can pull double-duty as a varmint round as well as a potent deer hunting cartridge.
Despite firing the same 6mm diameter bullets, the 243 Win is a commercial success while the 6mm Rem remains somewhat of a fringe cartridge. Although the 243 is considered the gold standard when it comes to 6mm cartridges, the Remington offering has several minor advantages that make hunters question which cartridge is right for them. |

For over a century, the North American hunting scene has been dominated by 30 caliber cartridges like the 30-06 Springfield, 300 Win Mag, 308 Winchester, and 300 WSM. Although the effectiveness of .308 diameter bullets has been well documented, many hunters are transitioning to smaller diameter bullets with less recoil and higher muzzle velocities. |

During Wednesday nights Republican primary debate, Vivek Ramaswamy defended statements he made about arming Taiwanese citizens, noting that the Second Amendment has preserved the U.S. from invasion by foreign autocrats.
The moderator quoted Ramaswamy saying the way to keep Chinas Xi Jinping from invading Taiwan is to open a branch of the NRA in Taiwan and put an AR-15 in the hands of every family and train them how to use it that will give Xi a taste of American exceptionalism. |

When a circuit court judge imposed a permanent injunction against Oregons anti-freedom Ballot Measure 114 last week, it was just the latest skirmish in a year-long, up-and-down battle against the sweeping, poorly conceived law. Circuit Court Judge Robert S. Raschios Nov. 21 order came after he ruled that the law violated two major provisions of the Oregon constitution that protect the right to bear arms. |

Of course we are preaching to the choir when we provide proof that women, more than any other demographic, are taking charge of their own personal protectionand having fun at the same time. We at NRA Women have long been spotlighting women who shine in their Second Amendment endeavors, whether it is 2A advocacy, hunting, personal protection or women-specific firearm training.

Liberal activists are preparing to file a lawsuit against the board of one of the largest gun manufacturers in the United States, alleging that the company exposed shareholders to unnecessary liability by selling and promoting AR-15 rifles and thus violating their fiduciary duty. In a draft of a lawsuit viewed by Fox News Digital expected to be filed this week, liberal activist shareholder plantiffs alleged that the board of Smith & Wesson "knowingly allowed the Company to become exposed to significant liability for intentionally violating federal, state, and local laws through its manufacturing, marketing, and sales of AR-15 style rifles and similar semiautomatic firearms." |

The veteran Rasmussen polling firm is reporting that 27 percent of U.S. voters support a proposal in New York City to remove statutes of George Washington because he owned slaves.
However, the overwhelming majority of likely voters say hands off the Father of the country.
It is the latest indication that self-appointed progressives are out of touch with the mainstream. |

An attempt by Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY) to resurrect and passby unanimous consenta Dianne Feinstein-sponsored bill banning so-called assault weapons failed Wednesday when Republicans objected.
The measure, S. 25, would have reauthorized the long-dead ban which was in effect for ten years from 1994 to 2004, according to Reuters. It was not reauthorized back then, and was allowed to die. Studies have shown inconclusive evidence that the ban actually reduced mass shootings and other gun-related violence. |

Women who have been abused or stalked by an ex or have witnessed crime sweep the nation are increasingly turning to guns to become "their own first responders," an NRA instructor who has built a boutique self-defense training company catered to women says. "I feel like every single day, there's another woman who thought she would never pick up a gun and they understand what type of world we live in right now." Robin Evans, the founder and owner of self-defense training company called Chicks with Triggers, told Fox News Digital in a phone interview.

A Second Circuit panel on Tuesday ruled a lower court should have determined whether a civil rights lawyer who claims New Yorks 18-hour training requirement to obtain a concealed carry license violates the Second Amendment even has standing to bring the case. Jonathan Corbett, who applied for a license before a law that created new training requirements was passed, had told the Second Circuit panel the states 18-hour training requirement is unnecessary and extensive.

Im a big fan of the booming commercial market for body armor these days. Finally, affordable ballistic protection for the people is a realistic option. But I would hardly call most of it practical for everyday use by your average American. In fact, if Im being honest, even the body armor Ive bought with my own money very rarely leaves my man cave. Its cool. Its functional. Yet, its hardly practical for my daily needs. Thats what makes Bodyguard Armored Backpacks from the Self Defense Company a lot more intriguing than the Kevlar helmet and plate carrier hanging on my wall.

Glock rolled out the red carpet in Georgia for a select group of media last week to peek at its new manufacturing facility and guns for 2024. While we cant deliver any photos of the new manufacturing space, we can tell you its pristine and in line with every other Glock manufacturing facility. The company even converts American 60-hertz electricity to European 50-hertz electricity to run its imported machinery while its far from cheap, Glock says this is whats called for to maintain consistency across continents.

The Second Amendment Foundation will definitely challenge a federal ban on so-called assault weapons if legislation resurrected by anti-gun Sen. Charles Schumer (D-NY) somehow becomes law.
The bill, S. 25, was introduced by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). An attempt to move it via unanimous consent failed when Republicans objected. Still, said SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb, if Schumer tries to run it as an amendment to another bill, or move it via the regular process, we will take action. |

Anti-gun-rights President Joe Biden has once again taken advantage of two high-profile shooting incidents this week in Texas and Nevada to push for a ban on so-called assault weapons when published reports indicate such firearms were not used in either case.
The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms says Biden is remaining true to form, dishing out the same gun control rhetoric he has used in the past, whether it matches up with the specific facts of a crime or not. It is not the first time Biden has called for a ban on semi-auto rifles. |
