"I've had a chance to reflect on Tuesday's actions of the Iowa House Public Safety Committee. I wrote a fairly scathing piece on my Examiner page about the lack of leadership by Representative Baudler when he failed to pass HF 2114 and HJR 2005 out of the committee without being severely weakened. In fact, both bills were weakened to the point of being nearly useless. But they did get kicked out of committee, and that means they have still have life. Failure to get them out of committee would have meant death for this session, and the death of HJR 2005 would set it back at least two or three years, if not longer." ... |

Why would authorities, police departments, federal agencies, etc., essentially choose to burn money? Why not sell those seized firearms back to the public or to a licensed firearms dealer?"
