"The statists and collectivists on both the left and the right often say that the government's role is to provide for the 'general welfare' of the people. ... The Founders never intended to erect a system, which would compel men, women, and children - at gunpoint if necessary - to redistribute wealth (the transference of earned capital) from those who rightfully earned the 'fruits of their labor' to those who didn't, even if it were done for the 'moral good' of society." |

"The U.S. military is the most effective fighting force in history -- so effective, in fact, that politicians and pundits have come to see it as a panacea for every security problem posed by the terrorist threat. But on the home front there are many tasks for which the military is ill-suited and where its deployment would be ineffective and dangerous."
"Nowhere is that clearer than with the growing calls to militarize our borders." ...

"The role of gun violence and street crime in the United States and the world is currently a subject of great debate among national and international organizations, including the United Nations. Because the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution protects the individual right of American citizens to own private firearms, availability of firearms is greater in the U.S. than the rest of the world, except perhaps in Israel and Switzerland." |

"The Ninth Circuit is still bound by a previous panel decision (Hickman v. Block) that adopted a states' rights view, and Hickman can only reversed by an en banc panel. Such en banc rehearing would require a majority of the Ninth Circuit judges to vote to rehear a suitable case (not this one); then an 11-judge panel would be assigned, and would have the power to overrule Hickman, if it chooses. Given the current composition of the Ninth Circuit, I doubt that will happen. Still, the panel's decision is a powerful signal that even on the Ninth Circuit, and even among Ninth Circuit judges appointed by Democrats, the individual rights view has significant persuasive power." |

Indeed, the program featured the infamous bank gun-giveaway -- without mentioning it was staged, as reported in Forbes. Moore's even inspired a full-time fact checker." |

Second rant on page FULL TEXT BELOW:
I'm probably wasting my time, but I'd like to give the person who wrote the recent Furthermore article on Smith & Wesson's .50 caliber handgun some advice: Don't alienate your readers by thinking that we're all liberal, anti-gun pussies like yourself. Many of us actually own and have an interest in guns -- including those of the 'grotesque,' 'penis extension' type. I'm sure you've heard this before, but just in case youve forgotten, let me remind you that my right to own a gun is no less important than your right to whine about it. I wont try to take away your rights or freedoms, so dont mess with mine! Thank you.
Sincerely, Jason -- A law abiding, non-wife beating, non-redneck, electronics engineer, who owns his own company, has an adequate penis and likes guns. |

"I'll tell you the truth, Mr. Davis. Some people who purchase this weapon will use it for hunting. And yes, they do hunt with handguns, and your denial of this fact does not negate the reality of its existence. Some people who purchase this firearm will do it to have a neat new weapon with which to shoot targets. And some will buy it to protect their homes and their families from assailants. But whatever the reason they make this purchase, government maggots like you need to keep their interfering noses out of their business. The gun is not the threat to you, but the criminal is. Concentrate on those who break the law, and leave the rest of us alone." |
