The 28 gauge shotgun shell, while over a hundred years old, is the up-and-coming round in the shotgun world. Its used in both skeet shooting and upland bird hunting, and provides a valuable alternative to the traditional in both. Although not as popular as other small bore shotgun shells, the 28 gauge is capable, effective, and easy to shoot. It continues to grow in popularity and more shooters find a use for it year after year, primarily due to the instinctual way firearms chambered for the round fire. |

For the 2021 legislative session, Representative Bobby Cox (R-19) introduced House Bill 3094 to allow citizens who hold a concealed weapons permit to carry a handgun in the manner they choose. Currently, South Carolina is one of just five states that do not explicitly allow open carry, among them Illinois, New York, and California. Self-defense situations are difficult to predict and everyone has different circumstances. It is unreasonable for the law to impose a one-size-fits-all method of carrying a handgun for self-defense.

Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the veteran Democrat who is in her 14th term on Capitol Hill, is being roundly criticized for introducing H.R. 127, what gun rights activists consider an extremist gun control measure that the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms says is insanity on steroids.
Over the years, said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, weve seen some astonishingly bad legislation originate on Capitol Hill, but this one takes the term abomination to an entirely new level. One look at this bill and you wonder whether Congresswoman Jackson Lee ever heard of the Bill of Rights, which includes the Second Amendment. |

Longtime gun rights supporters know that gun owners need to stick together. Over/under shotgun and revolver aficionados help to fight semi-automatic bans, because their guns would be next on the chopping block. Those over 21 fight firearms restrictions on 18-21-year-olds, because such gun controls diminish the Second Amendment right, deter future gun owners, and weaken the shooting community. Hunters with access to sufficient private land fight for greater hunting access to public land to help ensure more hunters can take to the field, thus preserving Americas hunting heritage.
