Gunowners who knowingly fail to safeguard their weapons from children could face criminal charges under a bill approved Monday by the House Judiciary Committee.
A separate Senate bill requiring trigger locks on all firearms sold by licensed gun dealers, including shotguns & rifles, received a favorable recommendation from the Senate Judiciary Committee.
